obama question for the politicos

He's an optimistic young man. Like JFK.

He’s very charismatic and comes across sincerely.

I like him.

I like his ideas.

I remember listening to him before he was even considering running for president and thinking, "I'll vote for you."

He's humble, not an ass-hat like every single republican running...

Gen X was more conservative than the Baby Boomers, but not that much so. Now, Gen Y is by far the most liberal generation ever, but just wait. Gen Z will come along as their opposite. Gen Z will be ultra-conservative. Gen Y may vote in Obama, but Gen Z will have to clean up the mess. Wait and see in twenty years if I'm right.

A reporter asked him if he ever smoked pot.

He said yes, when he was in college.

The reporter asked him if he inhaled.

He said, "That would be the point, wouldn't it?"

He gets my vote, not because he smoked pot.

Because the Republicans can't smear him,

but they'll try...

How have the Rep's smeared him? Take a look at Hillary and her staff...I have yet to hear the GOP jump on the smear campaign...name an instance if you can...not trying to argue, but it's the Clinton campaign that has pulled out everything they can, talked about it in the press to smear him, then said, just what you did...

I'm a right-winger, been Republican since I served in the military under Reagan...I don't care for the Dem party, the socialism they are embracing, nor any of their platform positions....However, I really like hearing Obama speak. Not for the message, because he really just keeps saying he is for change...no idea what he is going to change or how he is going to change it...but for the way he speaks, he can indeed grab you...he's articulate, he's smart, he's young...the first time I saw him speak, ever, was on Letterman, long before he ever announced his bid for the Dem nomination, and he got my attention...since then, though, it's all party rhetoric...

The attacks haven't started yet, but there is actually PLENTY to work with. His book for starters. He criticizes his own mother as a slut who used black men as sex objects and the white family who raised him as uncool. It may not be Republicans themselves who do it, but somebody will. I'm sure there's plenty more stuff out there.

i think he's very electable, but i might me naive.

what am i doing?

As an 'alien' it's really none of my business but it looks to me like he has no platform to run on.

Talking 'change' is nice, but exactly what?

Not seeing it.

How have the Rep's smeared him?

They haven't yet. They'll wait until October and a bunch of people that never knew him will have written a book about his Muslim childhood, and how he fucked donkeys on a swiftboat...

I happen to like and agree with what Angeline said. Listening to him, his ideals and thoughts for this country...he gives people hope, actually makes them feel like they can make a difference, and that we will and can make a change. A good one. He's a clean candidate, and a sincere, yet strong one. For once, in a very, very long time, I feel good in my gut about voting for someone. He gives me hope.

I feel that way too.

But what does he stand for?

Questions. Can he be elected?
