what exactly is it about obama that has him collecting an incredible assortment of endorsements, including ted k., caroline k., maria shriver, paul volker, and, even eisenhower's daughter?

is it camelot again?

serious question.

C'mon, nobody wants Hillary in the white house, so the democrats found their token boy to put in that position. It's no secret.

I think he comes off with sincerity and integrity that Clinton lacks and the rest of the dweebs are numbskull's.

hell no, LOL!

I think it's a question of winning in the general election. Many Dems are still unsure of Clinton's ability to win. Like her or hate her, she's a polarizing figure and I think that makes them nervous.

I think they're more comfortable with Obama's ability to appeal to moderates. Which either side is going to have to do to win.

A combination of things imo

Obama doesn't seem to be tainted with the Washington insider brush, certainly not the way the Clintons are. He's a really stirring speaker and comes across as caring and sincere. He has a background that supports his positions (i.e., turning down lucrative corporate jobs to work for the poor). He's a viable Black candidate, and I think many people recognize that he really is electable so they don't feel as if a vote for him would be a throw-away. And yeah I think the Camelot factor has really turned the tide for him. A lot of people get very emotional about Caroline Kennedy given that she has lost her parents and brother. That and the fact she she rarely campaigns for anything (certainly never at the level of commitment she's showing for Obama) is very moving for a lot of people.

I don't know that he'll come out ahead of Hillary after today, but he sure has closed most of the gap between them.

His public speaking ability and clear message resonates with the masses..... "I'm going to change stuff".

He's an optimistic young man. Like JFK.

But what is he going to change?

It's already Super Tuesday and we haven't heard about that part yet.

like i was saying, he can't say exactly what he's going to do yet, nor can he reveal his honest feelings about what he in fact, doesn't know. while this is what impresses me, most people will be turned off.

How 'bout this for a serious question as well:

Can you name one significant accomplishment Sen. Obama has to his adult credit?

Okay... a lot of people have "issues" with Hillary, but at least she's done some stuff... if you know what I mean.

In my opinion he is not electable. What are you doing guy?

It's because people are suckers.

Wait.

People always read more into my posts than intended.

I happen to LIKE Obama. But after reviewing the careers of Romney, Giuliani, Clinton, Hick-a-bee, Edwards, Paul, McCain, etc., you see that these people actually DID stuff. Some was good, some was boring bullshit, but at least they have actual achievements. Does Obama not have any accomplishments or am I just ignorant of them?

I actually like Romney a lot, then Clinton.

The Manchurian Candidate is still kind of spooky for me....

I think Obama and Romney are demagogues.
