Let's pretend for a moment that the Presidential election was tomorrow and they are the only 2 candidates.

Who would you vote for based on the plans, initiatives and debates you've seen so far?

Nice... "other" is catching up..

we all know who that is.

RON PAUL BABYYYYYYY!

Don't count on either one of them sitting in the White House anytime soon....

Ron Paul isn't an option. How devoid of logic are you?

It's either Clinton, Obama or you don't vote.

There are no write in votes or other hypothetical choices.

If you want a Ron Paul thread or debate go start one else where.

What the hell is "other", then?

Other means Ron Paul, babyyyyy!

:D

Obama.

He's not my cup of tea. As a matter of fact, there is little he professes that I agree with. But he comes across as sincere and I'd think he'd listen.

IMO this is a deciding factor. The Clintons have been known to sell to the demographic instead of staying the course with a set plan. The ads that are playing out here in California (for Hillary) can be viewed are contradictory to those seen in the Midwest.

Once Americans realize that someone snuck a snuke up her snizz more votes will go for Obama.

No.

Politically conscience maybe, but not inherently wiser.

Look at how many Americans were confused when they realized that it was the electoral college and not the popular vote that elected the President. That's 8th grade public school knowledge.

If it wasn't for Florida in 2000 do you think Americans would be any wiser of the election process?

If they were the only two I would have to vote for Obama.

I don't want a president who starts crying as soon as things go a little wrong.
i.e. Iowa.

apologies to HS if this isn't quite on topic, but how much weight do you think this op-ed will carry?

p.s. Obama gets my vote of the 2. Hillary's views and opinions sway with the numbers of the latest polls. So far I haven't seen that propensity in Obama

You have a point there. Further, how many want to do away with the electoral college for that reason? You'd think it never happened before.

Regardless, there are more than a few that actually think this is a democracy.

You're bringing about memories of the great Republic vs Democracy debate.

It's times of the year like this that I miss that drunken fool ppman. He'd have a fit with our current political climate.

Yeah, but she picked up some favor for that put on show didn't she?

Obama!

I don't like either candidate, but I would rather see Obama run in the general election. I would rather the United States perish in a nuclear holocaust than see Hillary Clinton as president. I wouldn't vote her in as a fucking county dog catcher.

I don't know, HS; there's a difference between confusion and outrage. I think what we saw in 2000 was mostly the latter.

And Ish, every politician of every party has characterized what we live in as a democracy in some speech or another. In common usage, Republic and Democracy are synonyms. You're making more out of it than there is.

I wish somebody'd show a political ad in Illinois, so I'd know what people are talking about when they refer to them. Everybody's conceded to Obama here. Even the Republicans, it seems, though that strikes me as rather stupid.

We're a big state on super tuesday, but you'd never know it.

Youtube (when not used for conspiracy theories) is a wonderful tool.
