It's nice to see you guys too!

I am still in the same place, but a few changes..I got married, got another cat, got a lot busier..

I skim through here every once in a while, but don't usually feel like posting.

Congratulations on the cat!

Heh. See what I did there?

Yeah, this place is pretty much a steaming mess, but there's a handful of good folk still about. Diamonds in the rough, wheat in the chaff, needles in the haystack.

But we're well worth sifting for, dammit.

Blessings on you Soblue. May your new changes be all for the best.

I still miss playing canasta, though. <sigh>

I need to get one of those!

I just ordered one for myself...I can't wait to get it.

Hey when you are in Maui don't forget to eat tons of kona coffee glazed macadamia nuts. I could not get enough of them when I was there, SO yummy, I just wish they would sell them here!

Oh, those sound heavenly! I'll definitely pick some up. Thanks!

Needle in the haystack checking in.

I'm torn about dinner. Do I drive out and get the wood-smoked Mexican grilled pollo w/beans and all that or do I hit up the Hong Kong BBQ in Chinatown for beef chowfun and suckling duckling? It's a complete toss-up. Mister Pants is on the road right this very instant driving to spend the weekend with me while the cats are away in St. Thomas eating six pound lobster tails. Spiny goodness!

Damn you, Rose!

I am making chicken. I would always share my chicken with you, Rose.

I had some stupid show on while I was knitting yesterday and what I got out of it is:

If you need a lot of freshly ground pepper, attach an electric drill to the shaft of your pepper grinder...

So, Hester, you may need lot's of PSI, but I'm going for RPM!

I would go for the suckling duckling, at least in part because it's ever so much fun to say. Also, I  duck.

Hey! This is real work when you use real butter!

And, they may be a heart attack waiting to happen but I make them with love!

Love is preventative medicine for all manner of ills.

That's a fun idea!

"Waiter, there is too much pepper in my paprikash."

That should be standard equipment. I wish I had a dollar for every sorryass waitperson that give a couple twists and looks at me like they think that is enough.

It will be enough when you need a drink of water. Keep going!

You like the RPMs, too?

Real Peppery Moments?

I keep on grinder filled with white and one with black. Then I keep an empty one for when I want to use one of the other Penzeys...

You are hardcore.

I am a foodgasm outcast. I mainly use the big plastic bottle of ground pepper from CostCo. That bad boy will lay down the pepper in no time.

I have some things in which I demand that the world revolve around me and others in which I'm the revolver...

That's an interesting mind's eye picture.

I try to grind as many of the things that are ground on my own because their flavor is better. Maybe if you ground you pepper, you wouldn't need as much. You can get cheap grinders at Ross Dress for Less...

Or when your forehead starts to sweat.....

foodgasms:
Penalt's Turducken. We keep on getting rave reviews about this. He does the bulk of the work, I get the stuffing, spices and find the birds as well as babysit the fucking thing while it cooks.

Penalt's One Tonne Won Ton - deep fried won tons, chocolate sauce, icing sugar sprinkled on, whipped cream and a cherry on top.*

My Ratatouille - omit the olive oil and my eggplant, zucchini and tomato version is less than 35 cals / cup serving. I can eat all I want and even leftovers are delish!

Penalt's Beer Can Chicken. Oh My $diety! Don't get him to make this if you want to not have a foodgasm.

I have a few others, but those are the ones that I can think of at the moment.

*he makes this to bring to work when he's mad at his coworkers. About 1000 cals each piece.

Mmmmm, Penzey's.

They need a better website, though. I should offer to redesign it for them. They could just pay me in spices, and I'd be happy.

You could use one of those files to get the last little scrapings of mint off of you Chia Homer.
