Hey, y'all...

A little shout out to everyone to ask that they do prayers, good vibes and all that kinda stuff for KC as she starts school tomorrow morning. She can use all the positive anything you can send her way. She doesn't need it for the schooling - I have no doubt that she'll ace *that* - but just to get through the stress of dealing with the *other* crap that's going on in her life, has been for quite a while, and will be for a few months more. Plus, she has to drop her kids off for school, race 20-some miles to get to *her* school on time, go through a whole school day, and race 20-some miles back to pick the kids up again in the afternoon, because the time window between drop-off, her school starting, her school ending and pick-up time is narrow, and she has to go through the twisty, windy, narrow roads of the Pennsylvania mountains...

So any encouragement, positive vibes, prayers, or just thoughts of kindness will help, and will be greatly appreciated.

Oh definately. Lots of prayers heading her way.

Best wishes. I hate being late for kid pick up. Classical music helps me relax during the drive, fwiw.

The kids' school have gotten used to me occasionally being late. I have to pick up four kids from three schools in a course of twenty minutes on some days. The worst days are the days I gotta pick my son up, too. Then I have five kids, four schools, STILL twenty minutes. It's hell. Plus K's school is normally late getting the kids out the door, otherwise it would work. K's school is SUPPOSED to get out at 2:55 (i wish). my kids school gets out at 3:00, but if K gets out on time I'm only 10 minutes late. K & K's school (yes a lot of K's in my life) get out at 3:15 and it's JUST around the corner from my kids school. But the first K doesn't normally get out 'til about 3:10.

.. On an unrelated note Velvet I had a question about a post you made but didn't want to PM without asking first and didn't feel comfortable asking in open forum.
Of course you may PM me. :) And I think the flavors on your cakes sound really good. <grabs a fork> Where's the piece I'm taste-testing? ;) <sends lots of good wishes to KC>

We are fined if we are late. But worse than that, we are given a talking to. Tell me I'm in trouble, I'm a bad mother, and I will cry. And that is what I did. Slumped down in the middle of the school and cried.

I usually spend the entire time in traffic trying to do yoga breathing.

What in the world is wrong with people that they would pull crap like this? What kind of school is he going to that they would DARE fine someone just because they're a little late? Good heavens, people have LIVES thank you very much. Home schooling sounds tempting some days. (((ITW)))

Yeah, I hear you. It is the one thing I don't like about the school - otherwise it is a great place, and my kid is so happy there. The head of the place is a bit rough around the edges, and doesn't want anyone to be late. I don't know if they have to pay additional rent or if people have abused the situation repeatedly, but yeah, it's kind of hardcore.

Movie on in the background here....

"Jack Nicholson stars as Will Randall, a chief editor at a New York publishing firm, who begins to experience a marked shift in personality after being bitten by a Wolf"

Wooo Hoo major domdar alert, I'm out of here

Huh. That's probably why they do that to you. They did that to me, and I'd rip them a new one.

I met two new best friends this weekend... a new "cane".. and a silver pinwheel...

I am such a happy bottom... although my bottom isnt happy

Yeah, I scream victim. No, I can also rip folks a new one, but it won't do anyone any good. I can throw a fit and switch schools or accept it, since I otherwise like the school. I chose the latter.

Yeah, my sister is like that. People just out of the blue take it upon themselves to lecture her or chew her ass. She just screams victim. Ripping people a new one literally makes me ill, but I won't put up with shit. I have to say that I'll normally look for a peaceful way to take care of problems first. Like sending soy milk, with my daughter for school. The school district won't give her juice until her dr sends a note saying she needs it. If not drinking milk was a religious thing they wouldn't give me any shit, but when i say she's lactose intolerant - THAT I have to get a note for. Don't get me started.

You know, I was thinking. As much as my sister has more problems with strangers, she's also the one more likely to skip tactful and go straight to mean.

You're so cute when you try to be condescending! Do it again! :D
