Where's the love, people? I said I was sad too!

I know this is desperate and pathetic, but I am really down. Please, blow some sunshine up my ass, will ya?

*awaits one of the resident Dom's to show with an enema bag of sunshine*

I am sorry ITW... I read the page, I don't normally go back unless I am looking for my last post to see if I got a reply to a question...

(((((ITW))))) :rose:

Thank you Stegral. I wasn't seriously mad. Just feeling sorry for myself.

Hugs to minx, mis and the pet...

ETA: Thank you, ShyGuy!

I think everyone sent the sun to you, ITW. ;) There's none here right now. LOL <sends hugs to everyone that wants them> :)

* huffs and puffs *

Oh, it was only one - I'm just being a whiny brat. This is just a sucky weekend. I don't want my kid to grow up and hate me.

I'm in Flroida...how much do you want? We have lotts of sun and I can even deliver it "up your arse" with Hurricane-force winds! C'mon, if that isn't extreme accomodation I don't know what it.

Cute avitar btw. Like a character out of a very adult bedtime story book.

(i wonder if there IS such a thing?)

Mother Goose would be this feisty Domme who grabs people's asses. Hmm....

Lots please, with roses. Sunshine and roses.

As for adult bedtime stories. Well there is this musical...

I missed your original post as well and am sorry. You know you can talk to me; just like you've been there for me. :rose:

for the motherly ones in the crowd who worry, i made it back to school safe and sound... and really tired from lack of sleep.

Becoming distracted while trying to bake the practice cake wasn't such a good idea. Missing ingredients sure seem to make all the difference

What'd you forget?

Of all things..water! I was adding the eggs, and oil while talking to my husband who was attempting to grab an on the run screaming baby. I noticed it was thick (the beaters came out of the mixer twice!) but thought it was part of the cake mix...chocolate fudge. I had it poured into the pan when it occured to me what had happened. So I had to take it all out, put it back into the bowl and add the water.

Thankfully it turned out okay. Icing begins tomorrow.

What's a practice cake?

I'm making a cake, two actually for my son's 1st birthday. I'm quite the perfectionist, especially when baking so I wanted to do a dry run. The plan is to make a football field with our favorite teams logo on a sheet cake, and then a helmet for his smash cake (smash cake being the one the baby gets). I'm making the helmet a 3D version..not just a picture so need to practice. I'm also trying to find out how much time this will take because we are driving over two hours for the party. I need to know how long it will take and what it involves before I decide to make and take, or make it once we arrive.

I'm also trying to find out if the flavors will go well together. So far I'm trying chocolate fudge with a strawberry jam filling and buttercream icing for the football field. I'm not sure what I'm making the helmet out of yet.

Taste testers are welcome.

On an unrelated note Velvet I had a question about a post you made but didn't want to PM without asking first and didn't feel comfortable asking in open forum.

Hey, y'all...

A little shout out to everyone to ask that they do prayers, good vibes and all that kinda stuff for KC as she starts school tomorrow morning. She can use all the positive anything you can send her way. She doesn't need it for the schooling - I have no doubt that she'll ace *that* - but just to get through the stress of dealing with the *other* crap that's going on in her life, has been for quite a while, and will be for a few months more. Plus, she has to drop her kids off for school, race 20-some miles to get to *her* school on time, go through a whole school day, and race 20-some miles back to pick the kids up again in the afternoon, because the time window between drop-off, her school starting, her school ending and pick-up time is narrow, and she has to go through the twisty, windy, narrow roads of the Pennsylvania mountains...

So any encouragement, positive vibes, prayers, or just thoughts of kindness will help, and will be greatly appreciated.

Could be worse - you could have forgot the sugar. That's nasty. Take my word for it.
