Fantasy Football - Keeper League

It's been a very long time since I had a team completely fall apart like mine. I couldn't get a QB to stay healthy or in the game in the last four weeks to save my life.

That seemed to be a problem all year... QB's were coming and going at an incredible rate.

Offseason Trade:

SSK trades Peyton Manning (QB - IND) and Anthony Gonzalez (WR - IND) to MakersandIce for Eli Manning (QB - NYG) and Reggie Wayne (WR - IND).

Giving up Wayne felt like having my pubic hairs ripped out, but I wanted Peyton.

If we were in this league a year ago you would have scoffed at giving up Marvin Harrison.

A QB like Manning is far more valuable than Wayne.

Oh I know. That was in the hopes o making a big push at the end of the season. That idea pretty much blew up in my face when I couldn't keep a QB through an entire game.

I have David Garrard sitting on the bench and have no intention of keeping him. He had a pretty good year (other than his injury). A potential keeper for you perhaps?

Had I been in the same position a year ago, I would have traded Eli and Marvin for Peyton and Gonzo (although Gonzo wasn't technically available).

I agree. My comment about Marvin was mainly in relation to the relative value of a wide receiver in comparison to a QB.
