"Me First and the Gimme Gimmes"

"Who put the bomp in the bomp-ba-bomp-ba-bomp?"

"Yes!"

Excellent cover. Excellent band. :D

The Penguins, The Moonglows, The Orioles, and The Five Satins,
the easy stream of laughter flowing through the air
Rene and Georgette Magritte with their dog apres la guerre.

Ricky Nelson and....

Uh never mind. Way to old for this crowd. ;):D

That's a nice coat, Trebek. May I ask you a question?

Thank you. Yes.

Do they make them for men?

Welcome back Shang, was about to send out a St. Bernard with a keg of oats hung around his neck to alleviate your absence...

the amicable one...

What was the name of Scott Joplin's Opera?

Who popularised "The Lambeth Walk"?

Which British Dancer became a Radio Institution of country life?

Who sucked where the bee sucked?

Og

A merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

(That has so much more interesting a feeling to it on a porn board.)

All the best to the lot of you, and bless you, Amicus, for thinking of the keg of oats. I'll send the one with the keg of brandy your way, and I'll even leave a swig or two in it for you.

Jomar, you'll cruel. And you make me snigger. Roxanne, best of the season to you as well, and a happy and prosperous new year.

Stella, you're a vision as always. If we could just set you at the wire in the Preakness, I do believe I could astonish the world.

Rob, it's been a lovely Christmas, albeit one of a few minor domestic crises (all happily resolved). I received no less than three different albums by the above-mentioned band and am in punk-remix heaven. I hope that the season has been good to you and that that new year sends you peace, joy, and fat book contracts.

CD, I'm also more than passingly fond of the Gimmes' takes on "Uptown Girl" and "Stand by Your Man." Who would ever have guessed "Uptown Girl" for such a slamming good tune? Their "Sloop John B." is good too, but it really makes me wish that the Dropkick Murphys would do one. ;)

Og, you've caught me with my harness about my knees. I can't remember if it's Puck or Ariel. However, I did nobly eschew Google and answer from the heart. I hope that the new year brings you more sensible correspondents than me! :)

Having taken a look at their catalogue, I'd love to hear their version of "Desperado" "Annie's Song" and "Sunday Morning Coming Down "

Ooh, "Me And Julio!"

PS-- Puck, I'm almost certain...

Curse you Shang!

My iTunes account is already costing me enough money! Now, because you remineded me I find, (All covers by the GimmieGimmies):

Uptown Girl, Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard, Come Sail Away, Over the Rainbow and *gasp* East Bound and Down! :D :nana:

Shanglan

An old Saturday Night Live routine. 'Sean Connery' harasses 'Trebek.' I can't think of Jeopardy without running that routine through my mind. Tickles me every time for some reason. Sorry, couldn't resist.

And Happy Holidays to you.

Has anyone ever noticed how difficult it is to *pounce* a horse? Dodgy venture at best; dependent mainly on how tall the human is, paired with springyness and boingyness.
It's normally much easier if the equine will kneel a little, but then that takes the fun out of the *pouncing* because then the horse knows it's coming.
Truly, a dilemma.

Still, for Shanglan I think I would risk a personal injury-laden flying leap.
That is one extraordinary horse, after all. And such music tastes! :D

Flying flowers! :D

I just happen to have been wearing the extra-comfy pillow-poofed caparison today. Just by chance. :rose:

(I'd say "Pounce away," but of course I would be taken utterly by surprise if pouncing was at all being considered in any way.)

Grasp hold of the mane-- and make a kiss-- your horse will lower itself for you instantly. :rose:

SHANG!!!!

*FLYINGLEAPINGTACKLEHUGS*

Dear lord, I've missed you! There's no one to discuss PERSIA with!

*shivers*

Sorry, I was just succumbing to the firm grasp of a hand in the mane and then ...

Cloudy! :D There's no one I'd rather take a long road trip to Constantinople with. How have you been, you wild barrel racer?

I hear Istanbul's nice this time of year. It's in Greece, you know.
