:( My husband was in an severe accident Monday evening around 5pm. He was only 20 miles from home, when the truck hit the muddy slippery shoulder and went out of control. It went down an embankment, turning over several time before it came to a stop. He lay there upside down held in place by his seat belt for an hour, before someone seen him.

The paremedics told me they were surprised he was alive, because the truck was so mangled. The state trooper called me because he insisted he do, he was alert and oriented at that time. He was rushed to Nashville-Vanderbuilt trauma center.

He is my Christmas Miracle, because he has only several scratchs from the glass all over his upper body along with several severe lacerations requiring stitches in his left arm. His face is very swollen on the right side with his eye swollen shut. Thank heavens nothing was broken.

I thank God because he must of had a gaurdian angel. Because with the way they said the truck looked, he should of been dead.

The Hospital let him come home that morning at 4 am. He slept through the night and next day because they'd given him morphine. Please pray that I have the strength to care for him (without hurting to much, because I have a severe health problem from a once broken back and Fibromyalgia) and he makes a speedy recovery. I thought all my friends on here would like to know. Take care and Happy Holidays Everyone! Kandie

*hugs* a blessing indeed that he's come out so well off. I'll keep you both in my prayers -take it as easy as you can -a trauma like this doesn't just effect the physical :rose:
