Okay, I'm hoping this doesn't post three times because this keeps disappearing and going back to a blank "new thread" window when I submit it.
You know how, every now and then there's a big movie that's supposed to be incredibly relevant and totally destined to become a "new classic" and it leaves you cold? For whatever reason, you just don't get it, or actively hate it, or simply can't see what the fuss is about. While everyone else is rushing out to tell their friends or blog it, you're heading to the ticket counter to get your money back? I was wondering what movies are like that for you. Here are a few of mine.
1: Pay it forward: It was too sickly saccharine sweet and left a bad taste in my mouth.
2: Vanilla Skye: fucked up couple does pot, plays around with each other and live unhappily ever after.
3: Starship Troopers: NEXT It's supposed to be turning into a cult classic. I'd rather not be in this cult, thanks.
4: 12 Angry Men: The only time I ever did detention in high school was when we watched this in my lit class and I fell asleep FOUR DAYS in a row.
5: The DaVinci Code: I'd rather re-read the book.
6: American Beauty: Please go back to band camp.
P.S. Please keep it civil. Feel free to debate and all that good stuff, but no trashing other people's opinions. There's a similar thread on the GB if you want to go there.
