NBC to US troops: DROP DEAD!

No you didn't. I asked, "why".

You want to run a straw man argument about NBC's ad policy, that's up to you. Supporting your partisan bullshit is more important to you than dead US soldiers. Nuff said.

Blab, Blab, Blab, Blab, Blab, Blab, Blab, Blab!

OH PAH-LEEZE! We are talking about Politicians and the media here. It doesn't matter what political party you belong to if it furthers their political agenda they would steal from a poor welfare grandma. The media on the other hand is going to support whichever group gives them the best chance of doing their business.

And who cares if the fucker gave the Dems some dough. NBC as a company didn't do it, and if you think you're going to see Jeff Zucker giving political contributions to people on NBCs behave you can FORGET that shit. Ain't gonna happen in this life time. Dude's been very vocal about the anti-political agenda. He won't even fess up to being a Republican

It doesn't matter who the lawyer gives funds to.

Did NBC air any other political ads?
Unless you can provide evidence that they were applying this policy selectively it's all just more hot air and using the "troops" as cover for more conservative partisan bashing.

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2007/12/08/nbc-double-standard-today-show-aired-antiwar-ad-moveon-org

The sticking point according to NBC's head of standards and policies Alan Wurtzel was that Freedom's Watch "insisted that the spot contain the URL address of its Web site."

Yet, such didn't seem to be a problem a few years ago when MoveOn.org created an antiwar ad entitled "How Many More" that, according to the organization's website, ran during NBC's "Today" show (video available here, h/t NB reader Blair Lovern):

When we gave the media our new TV ad, they ran it during the news segments on Good Morning America and The Today Show-those shows are viewed by millions. Now, in order to make sure this moment isn't forgotten, we need to repeatedly play the ad on TV screens across America. Will you make a contribution to help make that happen? This is a critical time to be getting the message out about Iraq and MoveOn.org Political Action is entirely member funded. Together we can make a big difference.

Now, this ad in question doesn't show the URL for MoveOn per se. However, as it addresses IN WRITING the organization as MoveOn.org, that INDEED IS the group's URL.

Convenient loophole or double standard?

No change in administration. Jeff Zucker will NOT allow NBC to be affiliated with any political party. When that ad aired, Bob Wright was in charge.

this is NOT the first time the major media has refused to run ads from political groups

it should be noted they refuse what can be seen as REPOH/CONSERVATIVE ads

and they AID the looney left publicize their evil

they discounted MOVEON's ad by 50%!

Newsweek FABRICATED a story about the SHIT BOOK that the MOOSEFUCKS say is HOLY, their KOO KOO RAN being flushed into the toilet, WHERE IT BELONGS,

which set off world wide riots and mayhem

YET IT WASNT TRUE and only weeks later did they say it wasnt true!

Is a network required to air advertisements from anyone who wants to run them or can they refuse advertising from anyone they choose? Last I checked this was an example of that "free market" you dunderheads are always going on about.

Your last question is leading and disingenuous, there are no Lib "Anti-American" groups... Unless you're willing to grant that there are Conservative "Fascist" ones.

More than a few networks and individual stations refused to air or even comment on Moveon.org's "General Betray-us" ad. Was that censorship? Should FOX be required to air ads from both conservative and liberal organizations?

I thought you were against the "Fairness Doctrine"?
