I suggest that we make a list of our own favorite christmas songs, as an alternative to the compilation cd's that's out in the shops :)

I'll start with one of my favorites

White Christmas ~ Bing Crosby

No fair. I have 4 songs that scream "Christmas is here" to me

Carol of the Bells ~ TransSiberian Orchestra
Santa Baby ~ Eartha Kitt
The Christmas Song ~ Nat King Cole
Silent Night ~ Temptations

Flash me, and I'll let it pass ;) Nah just kidding, it's ok to post more than one!

It's hard to be a Jew on Christmas
My Friends won't let me join in any games..
And I can't sing Christmas songs
Or decorate a Christmas tree..
Or leave water out for Rudolph
'cause there's something wrong with me..
My people don't believe in Jesus Christ's divinity..
I'm a Jew, a lonely Jew.. on Christmas.

Hanukkah is nice, but why is it,
That Santa passes over my house every year?
And instead of eating Ham
I have to eat Kosher Latkes..
Instead of Silent Night
I'm singing hey-hach-dol-gavish..
And what the f**k is up
With lighting all these f**king Candles, tell me please?

I'm a Jew, a lonely Jew..
I can't be merry, 'cause i'm Hebrew.. on Christmas.

Hey Little Boy, I can't help but hear,
You're feeling left out of Christmas Cheer..
But i've come to see that you shouldn't be sad
This is the one month that you shoud be glad..

Because it's nice to be a Jew on Christmas
You don't have to deal with the season at all..
You don't have to be on your best behavior, or give to charity
You don't have to go to grandma's house with your alcoholic family..
And I don't have to sit on some fake Santa's lap
And have him breathe his stinky breath on me!
That's right! You're a Jew, a stylin' Jew..
It's a good time, to be Hebrew.. on Christmas.

the pogues....Fairytale of New York for me *giggles*

'you scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy faggot. merry xmas you arse i pray god its our last' or something like that ;)

or failing that.......Bing  ;)

i heart you netzach

personally i like "santa baby" for chirstmas. its one of the songs i learned when i took voice lessons. so much easier the the song im singing for a channukah show at the college. its in yiddiish, yuck.

One of my favorite pieces of Christmas related music is the Coventry Carol, a very grim 16th century English ditty about the circumstances surrounding Christmas, an anonymous mother sings to her about-to-be killed child on the night of the Massacre of the Innocents. It's beautiful and excruciatingly sad.

I'm going to rewrite the lyrics for Little Drummer Boy so that it's Literotica friendly.

Good. April and May are a good time to deal with such issues. I sometimes have a difficult time dealing with Christmas during the so-called Christmas season.

I really liked seeing which posters were active in 2007, and that another religious orientation besides Christianity was represented in this thread.
