Okay this is the baby

I had this one up in the other thread. I have scraped some white across it in a photo program and it ought to post now.

This was a sketch. Nudes overlapped and floating, really. I used it to make the master for the silk screen stencil for an art show poster. It was an honor to be selected to make the poster, but I think it had more to do with having a silk screen already.

The poster really looked nothing much like this. But I wanted to give you an idea of the finished product. ART FOR FOOD would have been the title text. The drawings had a Da Vinci sketchbook quality to them, I thought.
 
You are both such amazing artists! If ever short of inspiration, come to me. I have had an image eatched in my brain for ages that I simply don't have the talent to evolve on.

Man's Work. Pencil on cheap ass drawing paper. For fun. Liked the expressions and the accoutrements of the woman.
 
This one was twentyfive inches high, and that's just the image, not the paper. The board says, no taller than 600 pixels.

So there's a bit of distortion due to the reduction.

This was to have been an illo for a story of mine, about Jip.

T-shirt for work

The bookstore wanted to do a weeklong children's section special, coinciding with Book Week or some damn thing. It had to do with reading to children.

I got the job on the basis of a doodle, and this was my master sketch.

They turned it down.
 
They turned it down because they didn't want a human being in there. I rather liked the little girl waving the sandal in the air, with that straw hat, y'know, and the toes. It was cute. The monkey was cute. The toucan was cute. What the fuck!

Anyway, back I went to the drawing board. It being a commission, they own the master I came up with, and this scan is from the actual t-shirt. It's the fox I replaced the girl with.

It isn't easy to have a fox cross his legs and have the result look relaxed and easy.

They bought it, though. Ten bucks, dude. And a free t-shirt, so $23 or so all together. It's one of the reasons I left that place.

Thanks for the encouragement, Helene. I'm not so fantastical compared to some others here.
