Nudity policy

I have not received any direct communication from the site about this, so I am still "in the dark" with regards to the reasons behind the image ban, is there any chance someone can enlighten me ?
That's poor. I received an email on the grounds that I have illustrated story content - explaining why it was being archived. I assumed the same would have been sent to key participants in the Artists' Corner.

Apparently not it would seem, I had a quite a large viewership on my thread and I am still really sore about it, this was one of the places I could rely on to post my work but it seems that day by day we are being forced to either place our work behind a membership wall or not be able to post at all, recently I had this happen with Flickr, if this happens with Deviantart then I will probably have to just call it a day on posting art online....

I just tried to post something on the reddit page, looks like they may have the same moderators as this place - as it hasn't appeared yet......

This enactment of the Nudity Policy is, in my opinion, rather extreme. Based on "many readers (and authors) visit the site on thier phones and prefer not to have NSFWs images on the screen while someone is looking over their shoulder. Other members prefer to have text only stories

It is stated in their Forum Post, Literotica Design News, Publishing Queue, Nudity Policy & More, they "support free speech rights of individuals and websites to publish adult videos, photograhps, and artwork".

However, what would be a beneficial option is to have individuals either elect to have the original artwork displayed, or not. This would enable each writer, and reader, to choose whether images and artwork can be displayed.

Yeah, I actually studied art in college and continued to draw after graduating. I used to always find erotica in art or even the more scandalous images in modern art to be jaw dropping. I wanted to share this experience here. I drew digitally (so much easier to clean and transfer over to share), but never used those computer 3D models,. especially those AI Generated images (where is the fun in that?). There is a Literotica Artist page now on Reddit. Thank goodness. It's a shame to, I was working on an illustrated version of older ADULT couples story involving consenting couples on this site for an author, now I'm not sure how to approach this.
I concur with your opinions and complaints. Like you, I graduated from art scholl and found that my best figurative work was erotic, even sexually explicit pieces. I draw and paint digitally for various good reasons. Now I cannot even share it.

There's a bigger agenda behind the site's decision to no longer display nudity. It's to do with age verification laws around the world, and places the site into a "text only" category, which hopefully flies below "visual porn focussed" radars.

Any nude content in Forums is hosted elsewhere, and age verification is the host site's problem, not Lit's.
