Rmebering a lot of dreams right now.

I just dreamt that I saw a black and white cat in our backyard. I looked closer and it was our cat: same markings.

He is an indoor only cat so I ran outside and got him. Luckily, he didn’t run away.

I dreamt I went to my sisters second wedding to the same bloke. Which she was having as a joke after her first 25 yrs ago. And I was very bitter and twisted about it. My mum was there who died in 2021 and my daughter. It was very strange

I dreamt I was having a meal with a friend of my ex wife’s. It was a nice meal and we were catching up after not seeing one another in many years.

IRL I haven’t seen her in 15 years or more but she was always beautiful and I always had a crush on her. Gorgeous red/auburn hair, killer body, pretty face. Me ex told me she passed away from cancer about 8-10 years ago.

Closely linked to my last job and I was having to justify a fairly chaotic contract selection process to a number of unsuccessful bidders. Although I started very confidently, as I was speaking I realised it was seriously flawed and was becoming more anxious by the minute. Ex GF was there too. Eventually one of my team members said he was glad I’d left as he always found me to be unstructured and confusing and wasn’t good for the service. I then left on a ‘sledge on wheels’ which went wizzing downhill, through several road junctions as I couldn’t really steer or break.

In my dream when I woke up this morning, I was in a park. Maybe it was in Japan? It was pouring down rain. There was a walkway that narrowed to a chokepoint, and there were some people standing in it, creating even more of a chokepoint.

Everyone had an umbrella which made the situation even worse. People were holding their umbrellas, high or low so that they could get through.

IRL - this reminded me of a time a friend of mine had to go to New York. It was the mid 80s and I’ve been to the city a couple times so he took me because he’d never been. It was pissing down rain and we bought cheap five dollar umbrellas outside the Port Authority bus terminal. It was total chaos with all the rain, all the people and all the umbrellas.

That was probably 40 years ago!

I had a dream I was Richard III. Not the real Richard III, but the Shakespearean. Having never read/seen the play, I don't know anything about it.

In the dream, I had a cool costume and make up, so I just went out there and winged it. I got booed off the stage

One of my new year's resolutions is to read Shakespeare. If I like it, maybe I'll see the plays.

2 from last night

1. Being disturbed whilst in an intense 69 with a new girlfriend which brought our fun to an abrupt end (that was a killer to wake up from)

2. I was getting remarried the next day and a lot of extended family had come to stay with me for the event. They’d brought various foodstuffs as gifts but then proceeded to start eating them amongst themselves without offering to share. I went to the venue to sort out a few last minute things, as I wasn’t really keen on the whole wedding idea and so it was a bit chaotic. Whilst I was there, the venue had another wedding party arriving that day, so had towed my car but didn’t know where it had been taken. That was less of a problem to wake up from!
