I was just followed by someone who blocks me from viewing that members profile. Why is this possible? This is NOT right! Why is this allowed????

They will be able to see your posts whether you have them on ignore or not by searching for your username. Just an extra step they would have to do instead of seeing it in their newsfeed.

If they try to pm you you can block that.

Sad you are carrying such anxiety over someone who has set viewing of their profile to "nobody". If you want to know more about them then search their username and view their posts. When you find one of their posts you could follow them back.

Reply to one of their posts if you want to engage in communication.

It really is of no issue at all. You have the option of doing the same with your profile.

I don't know how shit works here either, I'm 72.
Perhaps the person you are having a problem with doesn't know how shit works here either? Perhaps he/she has their settings set incorrectly? Send them a DM and ask them what the situation is......

Maybe the problem has a simple solution?

If you click on his name you are not allowed access. Without access you can not ignore him.
My choices on who to allow are
All visitors
Members Only
People you follow
No One

There is no option to block access to those who block access to me. I can not ignore him if he is blocking me or everyone.
He's not blocking you, he simply has his settings on PEOPLE YOU FOLLOW.

If you set yours that way, only people you follow will be seeing your content in their news feed.

Many of us don't like how people "collect" women to follow. Heck, there's a guy here who follows over 700 people. Not sure what he gets out of it except a thrill at that amount maybe.

You have two options. One is to write in a post in the open forum @whateverthename kindly unfollow me

The other is to put his name in the search engine, not in the member section, though. There, you'll see his posts and you can pop in on one and tell him off.

I figured out how to do the end around and search this member in the authors section. It doesn't look like he is a problem. His history does not bear that out. I can ignore him using that back door access. No puns please, lol.
My issue is with the system and how it works. I also know that complaining about the system here is a waste of my time.
I want to thank everyone who gave their opinion and help.
Sorry to cause a ruckus.
