Are we really better off without McDonalds?

Sure, their food origins are suspect. Their ingredients are from chemistry sets. Who is going to feed all those two job workin' UBER drivin' second class citizens?

Going to McDs used to be way better than going to A&W. :)

I actually like Mikey D's, for the most part. Some of the fru-fru stuff shouldn't have ever made it through the corporate spitballing sessions, but the burgers n stuff were decent tasting and could fuel a working man.

Haven't eaten there in years, ever since I gave up fast food.

What are their ingredients?
They've changed their menu over time...in the last few decades they've moved away from overly processed food. Their fries formula has changed multiple times, for example.

Overall, McDonalds moves into more food island areas than any other FF chain because of their efficient supply chain processes.

It's absolutely healthier than not eating.
It's more affordable and accessible than those who don't have time due to work.

I.e. - we are not.

I miss the McDLT and McPizza mobiles.

I'm more of a BK guy.

There are cheaper and more nutritious things to eat that can be put in a crock pot or otherwise prepared in advance. But you can't beat the convenience and no dishes to wash afterwards.

My dad liked McD for a while, until diarrhea affected his working hours. The seniors still alive in my family say McD coffee is better than 7-11 coffee.

You've never eaten at McDonalds? Even with your employee discount? :)
If forced (maybe once a year) I'll have a chicken thing, not the nuggets which are nasty. The beef patties are the cheapest form of meat product that should be restricted to dog food. You get what you pay for and they are cheap.

"His mom banned him from her store".

Presumably working in a McDonalds is viewed as being demeaning, the natural workplace of the imbecile, by some of the self-attributing intelligentsia on here?

Wouldn't know myself as never been in one, either side of the counter. But to be fair I can see how they got there...

Hamburgers are generally unappetizing to me now in any type of restaurant. Packing lunchmeat in a wrap, bagel, croissant, etc. is tastier and probably faster than waiting in line at a semi-fast food place with semi-competent staff and semi-toxic waist products.

I don't know about McDonald's, but I recently walked into a Jack In The Box in Utah with friends and ordered four sandwiches wiht fries and drinks and the price was almost $40. I would think it won't be long, and you could put them on life support as well.

You're right, but you can't find any A &W's in the Greater Seattle area, any more.
