I'm feel there has been an increase in dubious accounts and even bot accounts, I'm pretty sure I've already seen two bots replying to each other in posts.

Probably true. There’s an interesting book out titled something like “ The Enshitification of the Internet”. Basically the idea is that the proliferation of bots and LLMs is taking over the internet mostly talking to themselves in order to drive traffic to various sites/apps. Humans are mostly extraneous at this point.
