Write a controversial opinion

Mid-November is when the Christmas season begins in stores in Europe. Halloween is much less of a thing here, if it's even celebrated at all, and Turkey Day is of course completely irrelevant. (Our Turkey is mostly a vacation destination).
Wait! They don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Europe?! When the pilgrims were saved by the native Americans before wiping them out and stealing the land?!
Is there still that part of Frankenmuth where it's Christmas all year round?

So far, only heard one ad for a Christmas radio station and no Christmas music out in the wild. If I ran the country, only classic carols would be allowed during the day, and Christmas pop songs would be reserved for evenings, if that. Possible exception for Fairytale of New York.
Yep. But I'd rather visit the small town of Hell, Mi. It's real, Google it.

My latest controversial opinions. There is no way on earth that 1 person (Laurel) can read every story submitted each and every day, There is not enough hours in a day. Also, some stories, probably no pattern, go down the rabbit hole of purgatory (aka pending queue) and never see human eyes and/or the light of day (probably a technical cms glitch)
Agree 100%.

I will say Roger Moore was much better than he gets credit for.
They had Moore in mind for the role, but he was committed to The Saint, so they hired Connery, and he defined the role.

Something similar would happen later when they first approached Pierce Brosnan. He was doing Remington Steele, so they hired Timothy Dalton.

Yeah I know. He's got a good voice, great range. But man, I've been a Queen fan since I was old enough to appreciate music, it's tough lol

The lead singer is the hardest person to replace, and when it is someone as dynamic as Freddie Mercury was...
My dad saw them in concert like 3 times. If he had a time machine seeing them for a fourth would probably be one of the first things he did.

The author's intended message or interpretation of symbolism and metaphors is not inherently any more correct or valid than an individual reader's.

"Nothing Compares 2 U" is a decent song but not in Sinéad's top five, probably not her top ten.

Beer tastes awful. Maybe use it in a beer batter, IDK. Yes, even your "not like other beers" beer. It's all gross.

Coffee tastes awful though it sometimes works as a dessert ingredient.

Jealous of your dad lol. They were done touring by the time I was old enough to buy concert tickets.

As for plot twists, I recently watched this great video where it’s explained how to write one that works:

She specifically discusses an example where the twist is not at the end of the story, like everyone here seem to imply it should be, but in the middle, and how it retroactively shapes the audience’s understanding of the story so far while still allowing it to move forward.
Thank you.
