It can be the lead character or not, but has to play a significant role. A memorable scene, etc.
I will unabashedly admit I loved that show.Day 13: A spooky movie or television show with an animal in it.

Old movies (if black and white, even better) are like a balm to my soul.Day 13:
Bell, Book, and Candle from 1958 with Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak. Pyewacket is a Siamese cat with big role in the movie. Cool movie - creep factor - lower on the scale but the movie is about a witch so it fits the season.
It's got to be, The Omen.Day 13: A spooky movie or television show with an animal in it.πΏ

The worm in the film The Lair of the White Worm. A terrible film that does a disservice to North East English folklore but it does have a naked Amanda Donohoe and Catherine Oxenberg in underwear.Day 13: A spooky movie or television show with an animal in it.πΏ

That will teach me to be slow...Day 13: A spooky movie or television show with an animal in it
The two best examples have been taken already today, and this choice doesn't compare to Jaws, but any time I can show up for a film that has Richard Harris in it-- I'll do it.

The giant, mutant space worm in Galaxy of Terror. Easily the worst horror movie I've ever seen, and not even the so bad it's good variety.Day 13: A spooky movie or television show with an animal in it.πΏ

This was required watching when I was in junior high. The giant, mutant space worm in Galaxy of Terror. Easily the worst horror movie I've ever seen, and not even the so bad it's good variety.
At least it has solid gratuitious nudity, thanks to, that's right, the giant, mutant space worm.
Thank you giant, mutant space worm!
Holy fuck. Is the movie coming out for this novel soon? This was required watching when I was in junior high.
I find the stories around that film more interesting than the film itself. Erin Moran, Joanie Cunningham herself, was trying to navigate that horrible minefield between being a beloved child star and an adult actor. And the traditional way of showing your were an adult now was to lose your kit on film. Yes, she was specifically signed to this film because she agreed to do a nude scene. She decided not to get naked on film during the shoot, sothey couldn't fire her, but instead they gave her a much more horrible, graphic death scene. But Roger Corman had told investors that there would be nudity, and a sex scene. Taaffe O'Connell had signed up to do a quick topless scene, but they renegotiated with her and, in exchange for a much, much larger payday, we got the scene of her being fucked to death by a giant space maggot. (The movie, a nasty riff on Forbidden Planet, had everyone killed by the thing they were most afraid of, so it sort of worked in context...if you squint). They had to cut the scene down to get the R rather than the X it first garnered -- Corman took an idea out of Straw Dogs and showed her visibly orgasming -- but somewhat thankfully, all of the cut material was lost, so we won't be subject to a "Director's Cut."
Also it is fascinating to me how many careers this kicked off. You had a solid cast, really, with a very young Robert Enguld and Sid Haig, along side Moran and Ray Walston. But behind the scenes, you had James Cameron as the art director, who was also shooting second second unit uncredited (and figuring out how to get maggots to move on cue -- put them on metal and run an electrical charge though it). And he brought a long a friend to do set dressing, a young chap named Bill Paxton. And director David DeCoteau was a production assistant.
This time, I was the winner.
Doesn't that make this election riggedThis time, I was the winner.![]()
