Hey Everyone. I'm Alex, a (very) long time Lit Chat member, who unfortunately got banned when I realized I broke a rule by identifying a troll in multiple rooms and posting the same warning. I got banned for the first time after being here for, well, I honestly can't tell you. Decades? I filed feedback about the situation, but no one ever responded, for months. So, I made a new profile, as I've seen many other people do. My new profile got accepted! And I got to enjoy being back in the Literotica Chat. Briefly. Once? Twice? And now I can't get back in, again.

I guess my question is, if you're going to block me for protecting the chat community from an abject troll, then what are we doing? I've been coming to Lit Chat for literally decades, and have never been treated this way. You're going to block me, on multiple (two) profiles. because I chose to warn your patrons about a troll? The fuck?

I have genuinely loved coming to Lit Chat for, literally, decades. I was there only 30 minutes ago! But now? Denied access.

This has been a safe place for me for a long time. But for what? I unintentionally break some weird fucking rule to actually protect other people, and I'm pushed out.

I don't even know if this post will get approved by a moderator, but I think this is terrible. I made relationships here. I found friends. I met lovers.

What the fuck are you doing?

so you broke a rule that got you banned for life... and you are confused why you keep getting re-banned? not sure you understand the concept "for life"

If you break a rule you break a rule.. regardless if you feel you were being noble or just - you still broke a rule.. and obviously it wasn't one of the "shake a finger at" rules either. It was one of the heavy rules that warrants a ban.

if you need to break a rule across multiple rooms in order to identify a troll... doesn't that technically also make you a troll?

If there is an issue with another user - you report that user to the moderators, you offer proof of you accusations and you let the moderators investigate and do their thing - you opting to break rules in order attempt to out someone you perceive as a troll is effectively shooting yourself in the foot. There is a method for dealing with trolls and it involves filing a report with proof. and if said proof is considered accurate then action will be taken. You going on your own crusade is not the way to resolve the issue.

if you have been banned for life - you will forever be banned for life - when you are identified as someone who has been previously banned - you will just be banned again.

sighs and pinches the bridge of my nose."Alex....You got banned...you the person not just your damn screen name. it means you are not welcome back in chat. So if you keep coming back we will continue to ban you. So how about not repeatedly being a pain in the ass and just let it go. By you coming back repeatedly you have now become what you hate. A troll....so stop. It's that easy. Also..if you would like me to share the logs of why you were banned just say to word and I will most happily do so..then everyone can see just how innocent you are and throw rotten fruit at us or something. Give me all your screen names and I will look them up as I am a pack rat with info. But I doubt you will do so sooooo Until then quit your bitching.
 
You will forgive me, I hope, if I also throw my 2 cents worth of dubiousness in here as you felt the need to post about your disgruntlement here (to avoid censorship perhaps?) yet are very careful *not* to mention the name of your previous account, the name of the account that got rebanned, the name or names of the "troll you were protecting chat from" or really any details other than vague generalizations.
So I find it hard to take your criticism to heart.
As the senior-est chat admin for Literotica, I assure you that the practices the mods put in place go above and beyond anything that Literotica as a whole requires from us.
And as TPH noted, our approach to chat and rule enforcement is significantly different from the way the forums at large are governed due to the need for it considering that litchat is live and instantaneous communication and requires more vigilance for such things.
Which we have been repeatedly clear and transparent about.
And.
Just a note to everyone: that dude sucks and is TOTALLY litpersonnameyoudislike
doesn't suffice as evidence of that being so, even if you are fore really super serious super sure. So we aren't likely to do much with that.
Which is something we have also been clear about, multiple times.
So.
Yes. You were probably banned for something because a thing happened.
