That is the one! I watched it but I’d be lying if I said I remembered much. It wasn’t bad but didn’t seem to have the same feel?

Well, here it is. The day has arrived. Little ghost’s and goblins and princesses and superheroes descend on your humble abodes. All treats and no tricks (are tricks still a thing anymore?) hopefully.

Have fun on All Hallow’s Eve. We’ve had a little neighborhood tradition for about 5yrs where we all get together and pool candy, hang out make goodies for ourselves and just have a good time! Then when the kiddies start to thin, we roll it up.

So the last installment of Heavy Metal is my favorite. Not because I saw it real time or owned the actual magazine. No, something more primal. The gal on the cover has an uncanny resemblance to my very first serious GF! When I say I did a double take the first time I found this a few years ago is an understatement! Original GF’s hair wasn’t as red, but that face and look…damn…I remember that look! Don’t tell SWMBO…I swear if I ever see her again, I’m going to ask if she modeled for HM!

Since I’m from the state where Hardee’s was born…

I remember the original joints had a no-shit open fire grill with a sweaty kid flipping burgers on a grate. Oddly ours was right beside another burger joint that my parents went to when dating. The old fashioned roller skating waitress type place.

It’s family owned to this day (no more roller skating deliveries,) still there. The Hardee’s has long been torn down and replaced with a boat repair yard…

I never really red, heavy, metal magazine, but the pics definitely bring back the early mid 80s to me.

I remember seeing the movie and thinking, “there’s no actual heavy metal in this movie!”

LOL! I had a GF at the time when the movie came out, her dad went to see it. She told me he was bitching that they played “orchestra music” through most of it!
