As well as the other bugs, published stories now not appearing on the author’s page of works

My story is now visible in my Works page. So at least there's that.

Im probably not going to pull and resubmit.

I don't know if its possible since the story is already published for them to send out a Notification but that would certainly help notify my audience.

to reiterate my point earlier: a Notification would have informed 414 potential readers that my story was published and provided them an immediate link to it.

Instead, my story was dumped in and competing for attention with dozens of other new stories. Now its success hinged on how many random readers decided to try my story over all the others.

My story is doing okay without the notification. But I believe it certainly would be performing better with one.

This is where I wish Manu had finished the Author News feature before fiddling with notifications. Of course, I have no idea what made this a priority. Maybe something was on the verge of breaking, or this had to fixed first in order to make the News feature possible.

Try doing an alphabetical sort on the stories rather than a sort by 'newest'. What you're talking about may be a different bug, but there is definitely a bug where the newest story doesn't appear under 'newest' for a couple of days on the public list.
As a simple example, compare these two screen shots (picking on @BeneathHerBraid because I read her new poem last night and it's so, so good...):

Thank you for the love and the tag - I just wish it wasn’t under these circumstances ✨

Sorry for everyone experiencing this - and more. I’m starting to think Lit’s customer service is powered by interpretive silence. 🤫

Perhaps my last-minute Halloween story will be set right down at the bottom of Dante's circles of hell, where there are a couple of people who are condemned to run a literary erotica site for all eternity, without any scalability. They have assimilated hundreds of thousands of sex stories, most of which featured physically implausible and biologically undesirable acts. I'd probably be grimly silent too!

The top two updates are about stories being favourited by someone called "MrAnalCumLover". It's nice to be liked, of course, but it's a harsh reminder that, for all my pretensions, I'm just writing smut for the masses.
Given the username of the person who last favorited one of your stories, you can also claim you write smut for the asses. 🤓

Okay, I got three new story notifications from authors I follow this morning. However, each and every one of them went straight into my archives, and each and every one of them has an editors choice announcement as well. That also went straight into the archives.

It’s not very good, is it 😔?

All new Activity notifications going directly to Archived....
except for one from 3 days back. Weird. But at least I'm getting them.
Published stories list is fine.

I'm definitely holding off on posting anything. (Fortunately the timeframe of the story I have ready is November/December so it works better if I don't post quite yet.) I have seen only one [person you follow] has been published, several added to favorites, two has commented on your story, zero has started following you and zero has updated their profile. Most of these seem remarkably low for five days. But I've seen absolutely nothing added to the archive in those five days, so at best the new feed is inconsistent.

I don't follow many, so these might be normal, but if one of them has posted a story in the last five days I haven't seen the notification and that's a problem.

Four comments I posted yesterday all made it through moderation, and I usually see a delay of 2-4 days, maybe they're not being checked as carefully while the problems persist.

If we're talking ratios here, I've seen 7 new published stories from authors I follow.

  • 2 went to my "new" feed (both stories were published on 10/18)
  • 5 went to the archived feed (w/ those phantom Editor labels)

Detectives?

That… actually explains a lot 😅 Condemned to moderate bad metaphors and timeout errors for eternity - I’d go quiet too.

Has anyone seen any followers added since the changeover? Other notifications seem to be happening, but I haven't had a follower notification since 10/15, and looking at archive history I was getting 1-2 per day for the week before that. Follower counts dwindle between stories, but I haven't posted anything since 9/30, and I'd have expected the effect from that to have dwindled by 10/15, so it seems odd that it was such a sharp cutoff.

I have one new follower notification from as recent as yesterday. Hardly a flood of raging fans, but enough to confirm they at least occasionally come through.
