My theory on why my story has not been published even after several resubmissions is that I do not upload a file when I submit. I write in Pages and as far as I know, it is not compatible . So, I c/p from my document into the submission field. But that means I could not use the remove upload function to remove it, I could only delete the text. I just did a complete delete and resubmission, we'll see what happens.

I don't upload a file either - I write in Google Docs and just copy and paste into the text submission field, and I enter all my own html.

A big thanks to you @ChloeTzang I don't know if this old woman is ready for the whole HTML thing. I use a ton of bold and italics in my stories, specifically for text messages between characters and when changing the character speaking.

So I deleted Marcus Hogue Ch 15 and resubmitted as if it was new. We shall see if anything positive happens. If not, maybe try the whole scary html thing. I think it will double my time writing as these chapters recently have been 18 - 20 k words long.

Just wanted to say that my latest story got approved in a normal timeframe. I know that doesn’t help people who are stuck. But it’s important to realize that some stories go through fine. Of course it’s awful if yours doesn’t, and I sympathize.

My third (prior 2 were deleted after I noticed the change in submission time bug) submission was approved 3 days after submission and will be published tomorrow.
I am happy!

It was stuck since 9/29 so I deleted the earlier submission and resubmitted on 10/10
I had also added parts 2 and 3 by then so now all 3 parts are sitting in pending for 5 days.
I had submitted as text earlier and now did them as word docs. Just filed a bug as well.

Please help.

I am not ready to jump ship, I have too much vested with the stories I have posted here. I am going to try and ride out the storm.

It is frustrating that after posting stories for three years, this is the only glitch I have had ... so I feel fortunate, yet still frustrated.

Nobody is sure of anything. But resubmission has worked for some people, me included.

PENDING STORIES AND AI REJECTION ISSUES - WHAT TO DO

AS well as the Pending Stories issues, any number of authors have had their stories rejected for alleged AI usage. WHatever Literotica is using to detect AI usage seems to be returning a lot of false positives and nobody has found any real solution to this.

Literotica has not been at all communicative on either of these issues - personally, I wonder to what extent Laurel and Manu are aware that these ARE major issues that are driving authors away to other sites.

My take on it is that while authors are not using AI, the use of tools such as Grammarly maybe be driving this - these tools all follow the same rules and recommend the same stylistic and grammatical changes which to a reader is quite noticeable. I dropped using these tools because of that -

I'd recommend three things
(1) Everyone who hits this issue Use the feedback option in your control panel
(2) Everyone who hits this issue Open a Bug Ticket
(3) EVERYONE who hits this false positive AI problem PM Laurel using a standard header - "Story Rejected due to false positive on AI Usage" or "Story has been in Pending for x days/weeks"

- a high volume of Feedback, Bug Reports and PM's all reporting the same issue will shine more light on the issue(s)
- I suspect part of the problem is a lack of awareness of the impact this is having (both the AI Rejections and the current issue with Pending Stories going into a Black Hole
- Complaining on the forums doesn'r achieve anything - the threads disappear quickly and I doubt Laurel or Manu browse the forums looking for issues
- In his last few posts Manu has highlighted using the Feedback form to report issues so I would suggest doing this for EVERY SINGLE OCCURENCE of these issues. THAT will get attention and ensure awareness of the impact


To do this go to your Control Panel, go to Help and select "New Feedback"
- I'd recommend using the same Feedback Subject - "Story Rejected due to false positive on AI Usage" and "Story has been in Pending for x days/weeks"
- For Feedback Tags, I'd suggest standardizing on "Critical System Failure" - both this issues are completely blocking authors from successfully submittimg their stories
- For Feedback Category - "Publishing YOur Work" is the obvious one
- For subcategory, "Story Submission" is the obvious one

AGAIN, I SUGGEST EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO HITS THESE ISSUES SUBMIT FEEDBACK - this seems to be the Site's preferred option
