The complete lack of action or response from the moderators is what is most annoying. I can accept a rejection for whatever reason, and then fix the issue. Stuck in a Pending status for over two weeks is unpleasant.

I'll keep reiterating this - EVERYONE who hits this problem with pending stories should fill in a Feedback Form and Open a Bug Report this issue as per post below

Make sure it is highly visible and on Manu's radar. Make a comment about the impact too.

Do the same thing if you get an AI Rejection as well. Make it visible to the site - I strongly doubt they read all the posts and threads so they may not even be aware of how prevalent this new feature is and how its impacting people. I can fill in a feedback form and whine about it but the real impact is if EVERYONE who hits it completed a ticket / feedback form.

Hello everyone!

I have a big uncertainty. I’ve been dealing with issues for over 3 months now, and during this time I’ve sent two feedback tickets through the “old way,” one through the method recommended by ChloeTzang --which I wasn’t aware of (thanks ChloeTzang)--, and also a DM to Laurel.

The thing is, I’d like to make a suggestion: that authors be able to see the position of their story in the queue. That way, we wouldn’t have that uncertainty or fear that something is getting lost or not. We would know for sure if our stories have bugged in the queue (and we could report that issue) or if we are just moving forward and need to wait a bit longer.

FWIW, the same .docx file was submitted on 2025/10/12, making it four (4) times it has been submitted for review and publication.

If you look back at the complaints from a few months ago about AI rejections (and some content rejections), that standard version was that story sat in pending for a while and then got rejected.

But that's a resolution. When you submit a story, you expect that it will eventually either get published or rejected and sent back. The stories in this thread just seem to have gone into permapending.

I went back in and checked and the DELETE option is there now

No idea what happened but I went in there - I knew thats where it was and there was no Delete function and now its back!!!!!!!

My point was that the recent state of affairs is that the manual review was never happening. Or so late as to be indistinguishable to us anxious writers. But what we have been seeing in pending hell is a process/people issue not a technical one

I'm on both -- and other sites, as well. But I've mor or less given up on my newest story. It got caught in the permapending bug twice, and I'm not willing to keep playing that game.

Submission date: 6th Oct (real); 7th Oct (what is shown on Literotica)

I know it has been 13 days since my story is stuck in pending, but this date shift seemed odd. On 6th, the "Activity" panel definitely showed that submission date to be 6th oct (it still shows that), but the next day, the date changed to 7th under the "Pending" page.

I've posted many stories from my other alternate accounts; always got published between 3-4 days.

Would've attached the images that said submission date to be 6th, but the Control Panel hasn't been working properly right now.


TL;DR: "Works Activity" says submission date to be 6th, "Pending" page says 7th. And the story is still pending.

Edit: A few days ago, I already PM'd Laurel explaining this. Also sent Literotica a feedback email. Also did that "report a bug" procedure.

My frustration grows as I see another 200 + stories posted on 10/19/24 and mine submitted on 10/15/25 still sits in Pending … for a second time.

Mine previously posted without issues. @Laurel and @Manu, I have sent a My Feedback message asking for assistance and asking you a very candid question in hopes of resolution.

I have been writing here just a short time, recently celebrating three years and have posted 120+ stories. Never had a problem I until I questioned their process when my Halloween story was rejected saying it was AI generated. I had two beta readers, one including my editor read the stroy, they felt it wasn’t AI generated. I was candid in my first reply, it was rejected again. I rewrote what I could only assume was the suspected AI parts of the stroy and resubmitted it. It was posted right away.

Now chapter 15 has sat in limbo for sixteen days. I have sent PM’s, My Feedback reports, Bug Reports, and posted here. I wonder if I am being shelved / blackballed by them.

I suspect that Pending Story black hole problem is worse than we thought and is causing them real problems - and I have no idea why that are working on mods to the Activities UI rather than fixing this and yhje AI Rejections false-positive issues, which are far more important.

We haven 't had any updates from LIT on what are two MAJOR issues facimg authord and I'm not even going to try to make excuses for them.

In the absence of any meaningful update (actually, ANY update) from Literotica, all I can suggest is what I've suggested before - Feedback Form, Bug Report, Delete and Resubmit after 15 days and just keep trying that. Altho at this point I wouldn't wait 15 days - it seems pointless to wait that long when it's obvious it's not being processed. Give it 7 max and then delete and resubmit.

That indicates to me that it's a tech issue that causes it to go into pending and just sit there unseen. I deleted and resubmitted and it was posted, which indicates there was no issue with the story. Ergo, some kind of tech bug is causing this.

My concerns are
(1) No acknowledgement from Literotica that there IS a problem here
(2) No guidance from literotica on what we should do (waiting 15 days is NOT guidance, as we know from empirical evidence that the stories are simply not being seen - some people have waited 6-8 weeks)

LOL I actually thought of that as a worjk around 0 just submit it as a Halloween story but ad a comment in the Note to Admin saying it's not but its been pending for x weeks so you're subitting it like this to get it processed.

Why not try it and see if it works. Laurel will read those ones - don't change anything in the story - just submit it with the Halloween coment in the Note to Admin - plus a further comment.

Well I just deleted the pending story for the third time, following your guidance, Chloe, and god I hope I did it right, I wrote the story as you shared and paste it into text and submitted.

Oh you can have multiple accounts for different types of stories - I have two - one for my mainstream erotica and one for my dystopian Sci-Fi (a lot more bleak than most of my stories)

Unity Mitford for anyone intrigued enough to look - but be warned, very dystopian, very little sex and a lot of..well, hmmmm Love. War. Sex. Death. Snow. Madness. That describes those stories well enough LOL
