A story sitting in "Pending" mode for an entire month. Is there a glitch involved?

I have had 2 weeks before, but this has a personal record. One month with a story sitting in pending mode. Should I just keep waiting or is something wrong here?

Two of my story chapters have been in pending since the last day of August. And as I've seen in other threads, other people also got their stories in pending for nearly the same amount of time.

Two weeks is pretty standard for me, but after 4 weeks I can't help but wonder if there's something going on. Thanks for the reply.

Annie, the link says up to 15 days. Respectfully, linking it in these forums posts about this specific issue is not relevant or helpful.

What's missing from all of this is what to do after 15 days.

Delete it and re-submit it. There is a lot of recent anecdotal evidence which shows that often this results in NOT getting stuck in Pending again, and getting an actual approval or sent-back with a statement about the reasons. In way less than 15 days.

definitely give it at least a full week (7 days) before deleting and submitting as new. no way to check if cms retains title, so to improve your odds, change title.

A week from what?

After the 15 days is up?

If you have a story/poetry in the pending queue for 15 days, imo it is forever lost in limbo. I would delete and submit as new and change the title. That is what i did with my prose "Seventeen Dead", the first time, after 2 weeks, I deleted and submitted it again as new, but kept the title. once again It stayed in pending purgatory for 2 weeks. I deleted it submitted it as new and changed the title to " Seventeen " and in 3 days it posted. ymmv

Thanks for all the advice. I'm hoping that the powers that be are alerted from this thread... something like that happened when I started a similar thread months ago, and the issue was dealt with soon after. That being said, if it's still "Pending" tomorrow, I will do as you've suggested and resubmit with a slightly different title (which will be weird since it's Part 3, but whatever). I wouldn't mind reediting again anyway, something I was tempted to do earlier but refrained from because I did want to have to have to the back of the line again.

Guys, see this thread on the AUthors Hangout - https://forum.literotica.com/thread...submitted-here.1641620/page-13#post-101693455

I posted some instructions here n whar seems to be working

I'd recommend two actions if your story has been sitting in Pending for more than 10-15 days *Laurel says 15 days but personally, I did this after 7 days. Most stories are processed and go thru in 1-3 days, so doing this after 7-10 days sounds appropriatel

(1) DELETE your pending story completely. I repeat, DELETE (not just resubmit)
(2) Submit it as a NEW Story (completely new, from scratch)
(3) Add a Note to Admin saying something like "Story was in Pending from (date) to (date). Was not processed. Deleted completely and resubmitted as a new story on (date)"

This seems to work for quite a few people

Just a suggestion: If you submitted as a Word attachment previously, instead, try copying and pasting the text into the Story submission form on Literotica

If you do this and your story ends up in Pending Hell again, also Report it as a bug on Literotica

  1. Use the online bug report form.
Include the exact URL if the story, the name of the story, your userid, the date you submitted the story, as well as details about your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and any other relevant information that you think might help them track down the issue.
