How did Momma do? Did they find the source of her pain?

I'm with you on the MRIs. I even freaked out on an "open" one. 😤
Did well. She said that’s the last MRI she’ll ever do! Can’t say as I blame her. Her first radiation treatment is tomorrow morning. Hopefully this gets that, and we can focus on that pain.

Let me know what you’re looking for and I will get some milled for you.
I am just kidding. I worked next door to a company that made custom stairways, mostly oak. I raided there dumpster at night and when I moved to FL I left most of it behind. It was all good stuff. Thick not free and some quarter sawn. Beautiful stuff. I do thank you for the thought!

I read this and laughed out loud.

Showed it to Mrs. wonder as I was leaving.. she tipped her head back and laughed a pretty good one.

And then said ā€œhey, hi! ā€œ

Then she smiled and shook her head, maybe a slight roll of the eyes,as if to say, ā€œ boy talk.ā€œ

That’s because she is probably smarter than both of us.

I can't remember the last time I was in a movie theater. Because my husband was hearing impaired and we couldn't be sure they had the type of equipment he needed, we just watched movies at home. He put a surround sound system in the family room, aka his man cave. So much more comfortable and we could have our own snacks!
I have a sibling with major hearing loss. She's always surprised when a venue does have the adaptive equipment that works with her hearing aids. One show we went to she could hear some things that the mics didn't pick up enough for the general crowd (i.e. me)

I bought a new laptop early this year because I was afraid my old 2007 one was about to go out on me. It has Win 11 Home, which I'm still getting used to. I'm on my tablet more than the computer.
There is a script to debloat windows11, and make it look more like windows 10. I ran this one one laptop and was happy with the results.

I bought a new laptop in the beginning of the year, and I still haven't started it up because I'm not looking foreword to Windows11. I have a license for windows 10 new in the box, and if Windows10 drivers are available for this laptop it might get that installed instead. This laptop is to run a specific piece of hardware, so I can disconnect it from the network and leave it win10 forever...

I'm so old that I hate change to the point of refusing to upgrade when I've already spent the $1000! :ROFLMAO:

So the Cape is one story, more or less just low enough to break your neck when you fall and the barn is another, as in 2 stories? Just want to be clear! You must have som tall trees! I am now reminded to put in gutter guards! In PA there were 4 maple trees around the house, 5 if you count the neighbors. Great for shad in the winter and not too back to clean up after blowers were invented but as a kid I hated raking leaves!
They just cut down a BIG maple. Hollow in the middle at the base

My hearing isn’t everything it could be. That’s why I like subtitles.

Let’s see: schedule two toilets to have the wax rings replaced. Got the doors crew working on three more apartments, sorting out the key problem for one of the apartments we did yesterday, pumped up one of the tires on the property manager’s car, talk to the relocation manager About stuff coming up, trying to sort out the city website so I can get inspection scheduled again, short of Siding crew because windows have been postponed from arriving today to arriving Thursday, growled at the electricians for not doing what I gave them to do yesterday which I wanted it done yesterday and if I wanted it done today, I would’ve given them it to do today, said some complimentary things to my helper who really rocks, told him to bring me his resume so I can try to get him a job, make sure the site was clean, went to the printing shop and picked up the set of plans and the matrix for the next job, called the cabinet guy to make sure that we would have material by Halloween so that we can start on the third, and then said some cuss words and went to lunch on the way back to the job from the print shop.

Got an email that I have to see the cardiologist three weeks from today. I put in the day off request and made a decision that I need to cut Ā£10 before I go in there. Ask for help on that. Having a salad for lunch. There will be more walking going on starting as soon as I walk out of here….

Then we’ll see what I get done this afternoon.

 Fruit Bonsai??
Kinda not really. Bonsai is an art form that tries to miniaturize and form trees as art (usually in a pot???). Espalier is maybe similar, but more about shaping an outdoor (typically fruit) tree aesthetically. Either into a wall, or against a wall, or as a hedge or fence. You will see Espalier in engravings and prints against walls. Sort of like vine or scroll work or the acanthus was used as a form of decoration. It's been around since ancient roman times, IIRC.

Chilly here this morning.
Finally feels like Fall šŸ‚ šŸ
Don't worry - I'm sure we'll have another "unseasonably warm" day yet
What's everyone up to today?

We've all been properly caffeinated with @B2fromA2looking4U subbing in for @Oldermom935 while she's away. šŸ¤—
One of my grandchildren has the crud so only one today.
šŸ¤— I'm so sorry - hope they bounce back soon.
Meanwhile, enjoy some 1:1 time with the other šŸ’ž
I am afraid to ask what is in ā€œweasel paste.ā€ šŸ˜‚
So pulped weasels?
Yuck!
Does one eat that with toast or something? I know, I know you’re just the messenger! šŸ˜‚
I was thinking more along the lines of using it as spackle.
Then the work weasels would be in their place forever!
Toast Points - like you would with caviar or pâté

 Or maybe - is this another stealth method of Body Disposal? Hope those weasels were skinny... or that you have a big house with lots of walls :ROFLMAO:
It might work for spackle or concrete patch or general all purpose hole filler.

As long as it doesn’t stink like anchovies….
Oh, ick! That would be no good at all!! 🤢
Then yesterday, my regular boss was all about the budget, which I’ve never heard before. It’s not my problem. It’s hers and my PT boss.

Anyway, I suggested they should wrangle it out and that I should go to Cincinnati in Toronto and do what I need to do.

Raining right now!!
We got some the other day. Every little bit helps, but we need more! šŸŒ§ļøšŸŒ§ļøšŸŒ§ļø

šŸ«‚ Glad she did well!

FYI - for you, not mom
There may be a PET Scan after treatment to confirm there is no more cancer left. The scan can take a while to run and may not be the most comfortable positioning.
Morning allll. Let's all remember to elevate welfare to the top of the list we are at the ages we darn well deserve it.
šŸ«‚ You darn tootin'!!

Age has nothing to do with it. Their is a little time required to find where MS moved stuff. I also had to make the right click menus pop out on the first click. I still hate the delete copy cut icons instead of the words where they belong in the menu. I may never get used to that. It reminds me of how I think ESL people have to think in their first language and back to English. Having to get the start menu back where you need it is annoying. I like the icons next to the time to all be visible. That was manual. There are several changes to the firewall that were simple before. Difficult to get back. I don't open sharing. I manually share on my internal network. They removed the open ports for that type sharing. Reasoning was if you share that way you should be using Azure, the MS cloud BS. I don't do cloud so I had to go and recreate the 4 ports manually. To use the firewall presets opened the ports on the private as well as public network. Essentially providing a method to unsecure your machine if you do not use an email address as your user name and rely on their cloud. dirty pool as far as I am concerned. A built in breach. Not to mention the inconvenience of having to fix it.
Speaking of inconveniences. The updates. There are monthly updates and there are Windows build updates. Both imposed on you for uncontrolled reboots. For the most part what was opened opens back up. Multiple tabs in edge often do not. The real inconvenience are the changes in build updates. Often being design changes like the firewall mentioned above, the update applies during some random month and time. Then you computer doesn't work. Won't connect to the internet.... Then you have to figure out why. I hate being forced to think about something when I am content thinking about something else.
As far as the remainder of Win11, you need the stuff you cannot see. It actually is more secure and you don't need 3rd party antivirus. Not to mention after the first updates after Win10 is no longer supported there is real danger. If you are connected to the internet win10 won't last long enough for you to "free" upgrade it. If your hardware will not support Win11.... ? Be prepared to install some flavor of linux and learn how to patch that?
Don't forget to backup your data, links and other stuff that is recorded on your machine. If you are using cloud in Win10, that data will be insufficient.

I'm wearing the sysadmin hat at work and have worked computer hardware/software maintenance positions. I've used 17 different version of windows and personally own 40+ PC's at home. I have the experience to say that I hate new versions of windows.

It's age. I used to be annoyed by new versions of windows. Now I fucking hate them! :ROFLMAO:

The new laptop has a large memory upgrade, which was burned in for ~3 months. I still haven't booted windows on it!

I saw him from a distance and he was definitely not himself. Hi mom is taking him to the doctor today. My granddaughter had the crud Thursday and was in great spirits today. They can rebound so fast.
We would have kids come in the er looking like death. Would give them 3 thimbles full of fluid iv and they would be raring to go...

Kids recover fast and crash fast... SCARY
