Isn’t it nice when…?

Is there a particular story of yours that you would like someone to read and comment?
I'm looking for something new to read and I'd love to have a connection with the author while I enjoy it ☺️

Tell me what sort of stories you like and I’ll PM you something 😊

Something that would start slow to then becoming a bit perverse... Possibly with a female POV...
I feel like I'm ordering a nice wine with a sommelier lol 😆
OK - you need to give me more to go on kinks / orientation-wise.

A new reader goes through all of a series and takes the time to comment on every chapter. Just had this happen and still very humbled by @Vitriolhack doing the same a while back with another of my series ❤️.
It's a great feeling. Particularly if you can tell the feedback is honest, for example if they mention that a particular chapter didn't quite work for them, and why.

Ive had this happen frequently on my Jenna series. It's fun to watch a reader go through the series in real time, commenting and / or favoriting along the way.

For all the talk about "authors should write for themselves," we all know its a great feeling to find out someone likes reading our work as much as we do writing it.

Franziskasissy by any chance? They are lovely.

It is a wonderful feeling. That's why I always comment on everything I read. I know how good it feels, and I want others to have that feeling.

Recently I read this great series from 2014, Seema's journey, that was 6 chapters long but sadly unfinished. A real shame, as it was taut and gripping. I don't blame the writer at all though - two chapters had zero comments on them, the rest only two or three. I imagine they felt severely discouraged.

Readers, look after your writers!

Something like incest maybe?

My most popular female-POV incest story. Wine is involved:

Late Night on the Loveseat with Mom

Re Emily's comment: yes it's nice when readers let you know at every chapter how much they appreciate the story. But it can be disconcerting when they tell you that they didn't enjoy one of the chapters as much!

This is always a challenge, because I feel as an author that each successive chapter should introduce something new. But by doing that you may cause the story to stray into areas that some of your readers up to that point don't appreciate. It comes with the territory.

My series The Jenna Arrangement was chugging along quite well with nothing but positive feedback until chapter 17.

I knew things had taken a darker turn than I'd originally set out for, but that happens in writing sometimes.

The comments section however, was a mixed back. While most readers understood why it went there, quite a few others weren't all that thrilled with it.

In the end there wasn't much I could do about that except carry on and try to lighten the mood back to the series usual lighthearted fun in the next chapter.

It's a bit like, "I just made myself some dinner, but help yourself from the pan."

Cooking is an interesting analogy. I like cooking. But I like cooking much more for other people than I do for myself. I would never think, "I should cook only for myself, otherwise I'm just pandering to others."

I meant it more as "I made a dinner that I fancied eating, but you're welcome to join me."

Unless I was hoping for 100k guests at my dinner party, in which case I'd serve up a plate of incest.

I'm starting to picture Lit as a dining hall. Its kitchen filled with cooks arguing with each other about what they're making. The dining room full of masked anonymous customers sending food back because it took too long to eat or didn't have enough of one very specific ingredient they expect in all their dishes. Others pounding the table after each course saying "More! More! More!"

I'm bracing for impact when I finally post the second half of The Woman in the Spare Room. I already know some of the people who loved the first half will think I've gone too dark. Hoping they will still comment though, even if it's just to tell me off.
