How do I tell whether a comment I left on my story is being processed or I failed to enter it correctly?

I recently left an update comment on one of my stories, and it has been a few days since, yet I can't see any trace of it appearing or being mentioned anywhere. Is this normal?

Like the Pending stories issue, comments must be approved. That approval is very slow right now. On your Homescreen you might see your activities. One of those is comments. It might show there, but perhaps not until approved?

No, I don't think they show up until they're approved.

The comment was approved about half an hour after I made this thread, about two days after I submitted it. Thank you for your responses, everyone, and my apologies for the unnecessary thread.
