I have a fondness for the 300 H&H cartridge. Regarding Rovers, they are awesome if you appreciate inconvenience and expense.

I love my .375 H&H Mag, but my "go-to" is a custom built .35 Whelen on a Mauser action.I have a fondness for the 300 H&H cartridge. Regarding Rovers, they are awesome if you appreciate inconvenience and expense.
I know a guy...My father did the British sports car thing back in the late 60s. the fact that the fuel pump would not operate properly on cold rainy days was truly bizarre for a vehicle designed and sold on a cold rainy island.
I’m going to look at a different kind of rifle. One with a threaded barrel….
Even beautiful guns need to be fired!Yes, however it's too pretty to use.
It doesn't whack the shoulder as hard as a 338WM.I love my .375 H&H Mag, but my "go-to" is a custom built .35 Whelen on a Mauser action.
But, ya shouldn't feel bad using it to push the brush away climbing through the alders, etc. Every scratch has a story.Even beautiful guns need to be fired!
I've bought bigger and bigger guns, trying to quell the urge for the Barrett .50 cal... trust me, it doesn't work, as I'm still craving a Barrett 50But, ya shouldn't feel bad using it to push the brush away climbing through the alders, etc. Every scratch has a story.
I've taken a liking to my 45-70 lever gun. Around here hunting is brush, it's easier to carry. I expect the boolet to deflect less than a small faster one if a twig finds itself in the way. And it doesn't need to mushroom, it's 45 caliber to start with!I love my .375 H&H Mag, but my "go-to" is a custom built .35 Whelen on a Mauser action.

I don’t have an old Mauser. Too bad I eventually scrapped that old boiler.
But now I’d like to find out!
It’s probably one of my next purchases. I may find an old m48 Yugo as a cheaper alternative. They were in 8mm and cheaper than the German stuff.
I love lever guns chambered for pistol cartridges too.
I have one in .357 mag, but plan on adding a .44 mag to the collection too.
