Politics aside, I don't know how any of these late night shows are still around. Going further, I don't understand how any 'regular' TV shows still make it. People into podcasts or the countless streaming services, they are not limited to "Its midnight, what's on here to watch" any longer and its more about binge watching series than any type of ongoing show because they can always catch them on the same service when the season is over.

I do think people like Kimmel who are on year number ten of "Trump bad" have turned away a lot of viewers, even those that don't like Trump, because entertainment is supposed to be escapism, not spewing political opinions that are 100% biased on top of it.

No one likes to be preached to, a lesson the left will never learn.

But I don't think its the only reason these shows are tanking, people are moving away from TV in general.
