I did that one with a button that came off a pair of pants. I sewed it on so it would never come off again.
Well, I was part right - the inner X of the button stayed put. But the outer O of the button shot off like it was shot out a gun barrel. It flew all the way across the room and hit the wall so hard it had people ducking for cover. Not dropping to the floor, but heads were bowed in fear.
It took me hours to get the rest of that button off those pants so I could sew a new one on them.
That's when I learned the toothpick trick -

The Crazy is real….

Momma finally was talked out of using the ladder. Didn’t stop her from going out to the shed to root around for that hot plate though…in 94d heat. She drove herself to the doc (she didn’t call me as she knew bout my procedure) because she’s still in pain from her procedure two weeks ago. Nothing like an 82 yr old jacked up on Oxy Cruz’n around! .

I seriously don’t know what to do at this point…

I tuned all the womenz out for the last 48 as I had a CT scan and the good nurse told me I needed low PB and heart rate. must have done a good job as I was hovering around 53bpm and needed to be below 65. MyChart looks OK to me, an unwashed non-medical type, but waiting on hearing from the Doc…probably wont know until next week sometime.

Is it still Oktoberfest? Why yes…yes it is!

Well the senior management is here for a week. I picked her up yesterday in a six hour round trip. Best of it was when she was complaining about her doctor.

SM: They don't make enough allowance for me being almost blind and near deaf. I have to tell them every time!

Me: And is it okay then?

SM: No it isnt because then they treat me like and old person!

Me (shaking my head): For Gods sake Mother you are at 90!
