I think this is true for some. And then I think how common it is for people to forget there are real people (mostly) behind the user names. And how disposable they can treat each other.

This has something thats been on my mind quite a lot. How easily we treat others as disposable.

There's a larger conversation worldwide that could happen about that but here, I mean how we treat each other. Obviously we cant be close to everyone, that would be logistically impossible and not everyone is a good match for everyone else BUT to see people write others off for a relatively minor transgression or hurt feelings instead of having the uncomfortable but productive conversation AND THEN complain about feeling lonely or on the outside of things.

It bumps me the wrong way sometime. I know there are very good reasons to step away sometimes but I watch people really blowing through other humans like they are napkins sometimes.

I arse around a lot on the threads. But my one on one chatting is very limited. Mainly because of how I know that I tend to trust easily and get hurt/let down hard. So I put up walls. I try occasionally to let people in, and... generally, well. Let's just say that it isnt as easy for women on here as you'd all think.
So. Maybe thats why I tend to stick to the superficial...

I do make it clear as much as I can that I'm not here to 'find' anyone. Yet still, I sometimes end up in an awkward position of being guilt tripped for posting on threads instead of private conversation. I don't know how to be more clear, and I refuse to dampen my style, and so I'll also continue to stick to superficial as a general rule.
