I know that feeling. Off sick and in hospital with spinal injury, work called the other day saying they are thinking of terminating my contract as I am not able to do the job due to my disability and have no other positions. Im speaking to the Union

Yeah, fairly sure that's not a thing they can do. Hope the union works something out.

That does sound pretty grisly. And absolutely, seems pretty unreasonable on their part - the union will surely have some tihngs to say, if not citizens advice. Good luck

Yes, definitely one of your recognised workplace onions and then add CAB, press and MP to 'lean' a little (especially if it was an injury at work).

Im with the GMB who have just negotiated the latest pay deal backdated to 1st April

Yeah already contacted my shop steward. He has passed it on to his contact in the union and said I should get a call in a couple days

Yeah even my gf said they can't do that whoke off sick. Her company will medically retire someone if they are too ill to come back to work
