While looking at many picture threads I've been following, I have a variety of interests—everything from locations to articles of clothing to certain appearances of people. What I've found in my exploration is that these factors aren't necessary for a healthy romantic relationship with someone. Often, I find myself having a wonderful time with a woman who is far from my "ideal," and I'm sure I'm not the fantasy image a woman might have, but we enjoy our time together, whether doing the mundane things of life or more erotic ones.

Now Literotica is a place for fantasy, though, and as much as one might enjoy their reality, or at the very least be satisfied, we all have desires we'd like to explore. We want a variety of roleplays that let you explore different places and interact with people you might never meet or could visit. The profiles are a great help, but how do you incorporate your personal desires into your fantasy? How does your ideal character fit with someone else's desires? Do you fulfill fantasies you're not interested in for a partner? I aim to foster discussion that helps people learn more about potential partners and explore a path to a great story.

This list is not the limit of my interests by any means, but simply a look at threads I follow. They're ideas that might slip into a story. So some threads I follow include:
  • Stockings and pantyhose, I think, are very sexy even if not always practical or in fashion.
  • Lingerie is always a beautiful, intimate part of the bedroom experience.
  • Ships and Aircraft are threads I follow, and while not sexual, they fit into various locations and activities, including hiking, scuba diving, historical sites, and even the urban experience. Location is an aspect of fantasy.
  • Body types, I will never say I have a perfect one in mind because I like threads with curvy women, muscular ones, mature women, tattooed ones, and skinny ones. Every woman has her own energy, and while some things appeal more to you, you never know where things might lead. I've seen threads for nerdy women who are very desirable.
  • Having experienced several interracial experiences, I continued to explore them in fantasy and enjoy erotic experiences with Asian and Black women as well. I don't like fetishizing people because they're so much more than their ethnic background, but different experiences can be thrilling.

Eh if my co writer prefers redheads and big boobs, I'm happy to oblige. What I look like doesn't matter to me quite as much, I'm more about developing a unique personality. Although I can't deny almost every single one of my characters carry a little of my own personality to some extent. I don't know if that's avoidable really. Generally I ask a co writer before we start if there's anything in particular they want out of the story first. Because I have had co writers throw some friggen weird curve balls at me, some I ride with and some just do not fit the story and ruin it because they've become one tracked and gone way off reality.

And as long as it's not something that'd hugely turn me off, I'm just as happy to meet a fetish or kink halfway. I'm generally poor at setting environment, it's not my favourite thing to do so I largely tend to leave room descriptions up to my co writer. Though I did have a lot of fun recently discussing rules of play/environment for my sci fi thread (please note, it's my first ever sci fi thread - I've done a lot more fantasy but less on the future tech side), I minimized my description in my opening post and let my co writer expand on it. I guess everyone has their strengths, weaknesses and things they enjoy and then things they don't. Even in writing.

I also enjoy a heavy amount of dialogue between characters, I feel like showing how they get to know each other reads better and lets the reader know them better. Talking can also just be hot as fuck. Though in an SRP, it's a challenge to make a long enough post with lengthy dialogues between two characters so a lot of stories fall down there for me personally. You can tell the imagination of a writer by how well they can do that and still make it interesting in my opinion.

  • Love stockings and garters. Use to wear them to work. Maybe that’s why the army guys hung out in my office. LOL
  • Lingerie is a supporting character in my mind.
  • Body types, I have no preference really. I do enjoy writing with projected tall, strong men. Beards and long hair are a plus as well, but not a necessity.
  • Tats. O.M.G. Love them on male co-writers’ characters.
  • Dangerous men. As in men involved in the Bratva.
  • Male co-writers who can project 3,4,5. Simply awesome.
  • I can write in almost any genre. I do really enjoy fantasy and modern-day stuff.
  • I don’t look for the sexual in a story but since this is Lit, I keep in mind that readers are looking for that.
  • I do not care for one or two sentence writing, however, acknowledged that sometimes, it is the only way to move the story forward. I just don’t care for it as a norm.
  • I have used pictures for my characters, but I rather use descriptive words. I understand that sometimes, some of my co-writers need that visual so for them, I will hunt down the internet until I can find something I think represents my character.
  • I don’t mind re-do threads, but I like to erase what was and throw in my own interpretation. The premise is fine though.

Someone's personality and writing are a big part of why I enjoy coming here to roleplay. I like that the other person is behind a character. I believe you make a good point about expectations being discussed beforehand. I wish you luck with your sci-fi thread. I had a good thread with a lot of details, but my partner decided to leave, saying we had different styles. Well, one thing I prefer is someone saying goodbye to ghosting, which happens way too much, and yes, we all have different ways of putting a story together.

Yes, sadly ghosting happens although unfortunate things happen to co writers in their lives and I mean, for all you know they've passed away - it's not as if they're going to tell anyone to please let the Lit community know about it. Personally I worry that's the reason some of my co writers have disappeared after citing health concerns but you just never know either way.
If I didn't get emails for my PMs, I think I'd probably offer some of my co writers another method with which to contact me (some of them have that option regardless though). Cause anyone can get hacked (I lost an email account that way once) so I prefer to have a back up.

Well, in our current adventure, we're doing a period piece and did it in an interesting way, unlike most threads. As to the character of Jackson, he has tattoos and lived a rough life in this new world, and he's been to war, been on adventures, even worked as a gunfighter, and has tattoos.

Yes, I wonder what happened to some lovely, creative people. Did they simply get too busy in life and not think they were hurting someone by leaving Lit, or did they not know they were hurting someone's feelings and simply moved on because they didn't have time? I did have one online friend pass away, and it was a mix of feelings, but mostly painful.
