Most Dems these days can't define what fascism actually is. They think the word is just a generic term for 'any dictatorship'.

These days the words fascist and Nazi are reduced to epithets for people that someone hates or disagrees with.

The overuse and abuse of the words has made them lose their sting and impact.

One of the ways is staying mindful of disinformation, selective use of facts and conspiracy theories - e.g, Trump’s claims about the 2020 election - when they enter mainstream politics
Staying calm and challenging them discreetly, inviting the person who might be fooled by them to consider the reality - never becoming hostile, just helping them understand - can be powerful - some are genuinely misled
Also, in my view, not giving air to those who deliberately and knowingly stoke hate and disinformation - much as I admire the efforts of Il74 and others, I think it simply reinforces silos

Oh so you polled all Dems to know this? I'd say most of us know exactly what Fascism is- and that it is bad.. and that doctrinaire Fascism guides the diseased powers that be in the nascent US Fascist party. Literally every single thing they do is Fascism 101.
