How well known was Charles Kirk?

Kirk was certainly on track for a political future. I think that goes well beyond MAGA, which is entirely positioned around one man. His positions went beyond that and even went against the current President and leader of the party.

Certainly he was confident and well spoken which garnered support from millions of Americans. I think it's useless to diminish his popularity amongst the right.

Being a part of political discourse online would be enough to know about his clout. Not sure how you weren't aware. His history as a political force is impressive and worth giving credit to regardless of "dude bro culture"

I wrote Kirk off as a chud like Nick Fuentes or Ben Shapiro. Not worth my time to pay attention to.

Really until he was killed I was only vaguely aware of him from various protests when he was invited to nearby colleges.

I think I had heard the name Turning Point USA. But I spend zero time in the MAGA fugue.

I suggest you watch one of his debates that he has had on college campuses to get an understanding of how he operated.

I'd also suggest you separate Shapiro from Fuentes in your assessments as those two are not on the same level.

But given some of the things he believed.. his popularity is nauseating.. and a sure sign this country is about gone.

Or you know.. a sane person could spend 30 seconds looking up what he believed in and reject every single last bit of it. It was so repulsive it beggars human imagination. Now was his death merited.. because of that? nope.
