Internal peace is an essential first step to achieving peace in the world. How do you cultivate it? It's very simple. In the first place by realizing clearly that all mankind is one, that human beings in every country are members of one and the same family.

Be master of your petty annoyances and conserve your energies for the big, worthwhile things. It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out - it's the grain of sand in your shoe.

Speak clearly,if you speak at all; carve every word before you let it fall.

In reality, humility means nothing other than complete honesty about yourself.

Artists can see the horrors that are taking place in the world perfectly well and some of them are doing what little they can to create more awareness in society at large, but many more are giving way to apathy, treating art as an escape from reality, a comfortable, insulated world…...

Key Numbers

The NSSF-adjusted NICS figure for August 2025 came in at 1,091,342, down 9.9% from August 2024’s adjusted figure of 1,210,995.
For comparison, the FBI’s unadjusted NICS figure for August 2025 was 1,743,509, a 19.4% decrease from the 2,163,540 reported in August 2024.
While these figures reflect year-over-year declines, they still represent a strong baseline of over one million adjusted checks—a sign that interest in firearms ownership remains steady.

State Leaders

The top five states leading in adjusted NICS checks were:
  • Texas
  • Florida
  • California
  • Pennsylvania
  • Virginia

I created some hole art on the flat range yesterday, between the 7, 10, and 15, yard positions I burned up around 300 rounds of .45 ACP. The only thing insulated in that world was my ears.;)

New York Ordered to Pay $800K After Church Challenges Ban on Firearms in Houses of Worship

Magdalene Henah

A church that challenged parts of a 2022 state law banning guns in places of worship has secured another victory in its legal battle after a federal court has ordered New York to pay over $817,000 to cover the legal fees for His Tabernacle Church’s attorneys, who contested the law.

The 2022 Concealed Carry Improvement Act, signed by Governor Kathy Hochul, established “sensitive” zones where even licensed individuals cannot carry concealed firearms, including churches.

His Tabernacle Church challenged the law and in early 2023, achieved a temporary victory when a U.S. District Court judge blocked the state from enforcing the gun-free zone rule for churches while the legal case continued. New York appealed, but the Second Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the decision, keeping the block in place.

Funny, they used to bring their firearms to church and have militia practice after services once upon a time.

Suffering is not enough. Life is both dreadful and wonderful...How can I smile when I am filled with so much sorrow? It is natural--you need to smile to your sorrow because you are more than your sorrow.
