Day 5: A song that made you say, "what the fuck is this?" in a good way or a bad way

Nightcall- Kavinsky

My last Muse introduced me to this song. It's in her driving playlist. She didn't tell me anything about it, but I immediate got it despite not being anything I would normally listen to.

TISM (This is Serious Mum) from Melbourne Australia. Could have picked any one of their clips, but this is also a great song about the futility of it all.

Excellent shot! And I mean that in a good way!

The first time I heard The Hives and The Chisel I was super wowed.

But the first time I heard the Duke Spirit, I was truly blown away. A slack jawed motherfucker, listening to perfection on the way to the dirt track races. I remember exactly where I was.

Somewhere there’s a picture of me and Mrs. Wonderer with Leila Moss from the DS from 2012. What a show they put on. And we needed up hanging out with them for drinks afterwords.

I heard this song being played at a music store in 1997. My exact words to myself were, “What the fuck is this?” Then I went to the clerk and asked who was singing it, and bought the CD.
