Can somebody point me in the right direction?
Best to use no formatting at all. Let the site take care of it for you. No indenting, no line spacing, no margins, no nothing. Well, you do need to properly format your dialog, but that is a standard format that you can easily look up if you don't already know it. Other than that, just write out your story, with one ENTER after each paragraph. Can somebody point me in the right direction?
To add to this, write in shorter paragraphs (the enters mentioned). With mobile devices like phones or pads, but even small laptops being popular these days, it is important to cater to these people. Not only does chunking it into tiny paragraphs make it easier to read on small screens, it is also fitting with how we consume media today.Best to use no formatting at all. I always copy from my word processor into Microsoft Notepad to make sure no stray formatting is still there. Then I copy and paste that directly into the story entry form.
Good luck!
I cut and pasted as well. The story was rejected because I used quotations or something like that. I’m too stupid to figure it out.Best to use no formatting at all. I'm be happy to help you, but apparently the Junior Moderators are getting their panties in a tizzy. Send me a PM with an example and I'll see what needs to change.I cut and pasted as well. The story was rejected because I used quotations or something like that. I’m too stupid to figure it out.

Please give us some more information about what you need. Can somebody point me in the right direction?
Just thought there might have been a “how to” that I missed. I’m good.Despite some unfortunate replies from people who never struggled themselves, there are lots of people here willing to help.
You did not understand this when you posted, but you need to provide more information about your issue. Had you started by mentioning the quotes to start it would have helped. There were too many possible interpretations for your original question to actually be helpfu
I know this was not a pleasant introduction to the community, but don’t give up.

I write in Word, indenting the first line of each paragraph with 1.5 spacing between lines and double spacing between paragraphs. It makes editing are re-reading easier for me as I’m working on the story. Can somebody point me in the right direction?
