Reports are that the hospital was targeted because there was an alleged Hamas camera / camera crew located on the top floor that was trained on Israeli defense forces and monitoring their activities.

That ^, along with Hamas’ known terrorist connection to / operations at hospitals, schools, aid distribution sites, etc, made the alleged Hamas camera and its crew a potentially legitimate target.



I would add:

Why the fuck would a camera / camera crew be set up on the top floor of a hospital (a fact that is NOT in dispute from Hamas) and pointed at the IDF???

That ^ put the hospital in danger - regardless of any motivation / rationalization for the camera / camera crew being present in that location (the top floor of the hospital, pointed at the IDF).
