It’s taking so long and the IDF has taken so many casualties because they’re actually taking care to avoid killing innocents. However, the way Hamas is fighting this war makes it impossible to avoid some innocent deaths.

The Arab world has used Gaza as a cat’s paw against Israel for 50 years—keeping the Gazans as permanent refugees rather than trying resettle them our build up Gaza’s economy. Since the war started, Egypt has fortified its border with Gaza, not allowing anyone to flee the fighting.
