Writing stories in your head at the wrong times.

I also get many story ideas while I'm driving. Sometimes I miss a turn or forget where I'm going. Most of the times, I pull over, and for some reason, there are a couple of parks that I like to stop at and either write down my thoughts or make notes on my phone. I've learned a lot about frisbee golf, too, from stopping at one of those parks.

For me, it seems a lot of my ideas come to me when I'm in bed and nearly asleep. Inevitably I'll wake up, jot down a few notes, then try to get back to sleep. It rarely happens as I'm then "writing" the story in my head... And I get up to jot down a few notes, then try to get back to sleep. Rinse, repeat.

Two stories i got i had to write down while in a convo with a stalker.. some of his words made it into the dialogue, was equally scared and titillated at the time

Barry Manilow said "One Voice" came to him at 3 am, so he got up "croaked it into the tape recorder," and went back to bed.
