Endless Ends

I've been sorting through boxes, trying to get an idea of what is needed for closet construction and storage.

Naturally I culled before the move, but there are twenty-two pairs of jeans. Twenty-two. So far.

One is a pair of work jeans, otherwise . . . .

Jeans are great. Skinny, cigaret, straight-leg, even the occasional pair of jeggings. Just toss on a cute top and go.

One designer in particular suits my body type. Too, I cater to a of couple of sizes. If running, I'm usually 5-7 pounds lighter. At my weight, that's enough to change sizes. Then there's the obligatory "fat" jeans, for those holiday or stress seasons where sugar is my best friend.

Anyhoo.

The strange thing, is aside from my work jeans, none of them are blue jean blue. ๐Ÿค”

There's baby blue, steel blue, Carolina blue, and sky blue. Sage, rose, plum, varying shades of grey. There is onepair of skinny/jeggings cross that is a dark denim blue, but it has tiny pale blue hearts scattered all over.

It feels like this may say something about me as a person. What, I have no idea.

That is all. :p

Arenโ€™t you required by state law to own at least one pair of blue Leviโ€™s and chaps?

No flare?

No flare?
I am just not a flare kind of girl for some reason. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

* * *

I've reached that saturation point in clothes sorting where I'm starring to question my purchasing decisions. Why do I have so many clothes? That I do not wear. At least not currently.

-Long dresses, beach resort cottons, a wetsuit, climbing shoes. (None of which have I have used since moving rural.)
-A Lelo and Stitch halloween onesie. (Don't ask.)
-Five pairs of boots. One, fur lined. (We typically have one cold month a winter.)

*sigh*

My SO just showed me he can do 40 pushups.

On. The. Stairs. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I can't even do one. So . . . very annoying. ๐Ÿคฃ

Three more pairs of boots. Including another fur-lined pair from England.

It's official.

I have a boot problem. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Why is my wardrobe so cold weather heavy?

Typically, we have less than two weeks of cold weather.

Maybe I should move. ๐Ÿค”

Enny, you need a break from all that wardrobe stuff !

Stumbled on this today . . . saw the movie in a theater as a youngster . . . the cat and spider scenes scared the bejesus out of me ! Hadn't thought about it for years.

This may shock you, but I rewatched this about three months ago!

Agreed. That cat scene. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I did indeed take a break from wardrobing.

Dark clouds rolled in and settled on a fine mist. I took the opportunity to do some outside stuff I've been putting off. Of course, I did get soaked, but it was totally worth it avoid the sun.

Enny, I am sad to hear that you are experiencing SAD . . . but also a bit confused. I thought SAD typically starts in the late fall or early winter, with symptoms often worsening as the days get shorter and there's less sunlight, On the other hand, I do remember my summer days in Houston, completely sweating thru three golf gloves in 18 holes, so I can understand how one might get SAD down there dealing with the summer heat. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

That is the usual. About 10% are affected in the summer. Too much sun. Summer SAD is more likely the closer you get to the equator.

I usually manage the early months of summer, but by August is often rough. It varies from year to year.

Astrology has been on my mind lately. I had a book once - possibly still do as 3/4 of them are packed - that combined Chinese and Western Horoscope. Like, whether you were a Pisces Tiger or a Gemini Rat.

It was interesting.

In the last five years or so I ran across this astrological article that likened Capricorn and Taurus to the "unstoppable force" and "immovable object" paradox, respectively.

Amusing.

That's all. I have no point. ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ

Yet . . . Capricorn and Taurus share excellent compatibility as they are both Earth signs, fostering a strong, grounded relationship built on shared values of stability, ambition, and financial security. However, their grounded natures can also lead to potential conflict, with Capricorn's ambition sometimes perceived as workaholism and Taurus's desire for comfort potentially seen as laziness, creating communication challenges and stubborn disagreements if not addressed through clear, honest communication and a mutual respect for each other's approaches.

A Capricorn soulmate is often found in other Earth signs (Taurus and Virgo), who share similar values of stability, ambition, and practicality, or in Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces), which provide emotional depth and balance. A Capricorn soulmate will value loyalty, respect their ambition and need for independence, and provide a stable, trustworthy partnership.

Done. ๐Ÿ’ช

Pond dug and fallen trees cut and hauled. Dead branches removed. Warred with invasive plants. Burned stumps. Circumvented erosion and seeded native grasses. Rescued two cedars elms, curated the Maze Garden, and added an additional obscured entrance to the Secret Garden. Cultivated ground space for wildflowers and researched seed bombs. Cleared for pollinator garden.

This mid-90's heat has been a kicker, but I am officially finished with outside work, aside from general maintenance, until winter tree trimming. *thunk*

There are two more things on the agenda, however I am not doing thee. Path into the Maze and around pond. And wasps.

Path - While I do rather pride myself on being able to tackle anything I set my mind to, that is just heavy work. I mean, technically I probably could do it, but it would likely take me six months.

Wasps - Way back somewhen in the dark part of the Secret Garden. The nest seems to be large, yet remains elusive. Time for a professional. They swarm at the mower vibration. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I do like a good earth sign. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Electricity does not travel through the wires! It travels in the magnetic field around the wires!

I was today years old when I learned this. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
