Members of 'Palestine Action' entered an air force base and sprayed paint on planes parked up and unattended to protest the genocide in Gaza. The government decided that was enough to declare PA a proscribed terrorist organisation alongside the IRA and Al Qaeda.

Later, a group of pensioners who previously would have never heard of PA decided to protest the genocide, and hold signs saying they supported PA in their campaign. They wanted to get arrested en masse to clog up the justice system and create further disruption. That failed largely because the police took their names & addresses and released them without even taking them to a station.

They were not imprisoned, except for a small number who refused to identify themselves. It's all very British and civilised. Nobody was armed, nobody was suffocated to death, the police didn't even spray bullets into random houses in the vicinity.

And no one was ever physically harmed when the KKK burned a cross on someone's lawn with the intention of terrorizing and intimidating them. Are you going to defend cross burnings too?

The Assyrians did invade Israel in 720 BC and destroyed it. Later the Babylonians destroyed the neighboring Jewish kingdom of Judah in 587 BC. Cyrus the Great freed the Jews from their “Babylonian Captivity” in 539 BC, allowing them to go home and rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. This second temple stood until 70 AD, when the Romans razed it and started referring to the land as Palestine to erase the Jews. The Arch of Titus depicts the Roman soldiers carrying off the menorah as booty.

The Arabs invaded centuries later and built a mosque atop the ruins of the Second Temple which was still venerated by the Jews living in Jerusalem.

When the British took over after WWI, they started using the old Roman name of Palestine, again in an effort to erase the Jews. It didn’t work. If you called someone a “Palestinian” a century ago you meant a Jew who lived in the Holy Land.

The Old Testament was wrong then. The Jews didn't cross the desert and then settle the land, fighting the peoples who already lived there.
