Ah! Yes! If any are fans of Alone, you’ll remember Nicole. She was thriving on that show and had a good chance of winning until her chronic disease (Lupis I think?) laid her low and she had to withdraw.

Did some babysitting last night. Went to my mothers and put our granddaughter to bed, and then ordered some DoorDash and watched The English Patient with momma and SWMBO. It was a fun night and took everyone’s mind off all the medical travails. Probably go over today some also.

I'm told that's a fairly rare allergy. You're only the 3rd or 4th person I've ever encountered with a banana allergy.
Technically, mine's an intolerance. Same diff once it comes down to eat or not eat IMO.

My mom and sister spent the night with me and my dad called this am. His sugar was low. They are watching everything and they are "taking good care of me"

My sister is taking my mom to see him today and i will tomorrow after work. We will just continue to take it day by day

Gloomy morning and sitting around mommas last night got me in a nostalgic mood. I remember when we first moved in her house when I was five. We had one of those furniture style record players with radio and tubes glowing in the back. The speakers were on either side of this monster and well…y’all know of what I speak.

I’d sit if front of that thing and listen for hours. This is one of the first songs I remember. Breaking more rules, this is some AM-Fly:

I remember when we first moved in her house when I was five.

One of our houses growing up... I was @ 2nd/3rd grade when we moved in & mid-college when we moved out.

Move in day - house was so large I would get lost exploring

Mom made arrangements for me to come home to "say goodbye to the house". That was mom's dream house.
The movers had already been, so it was bare. And so much smaller than when we moved in all those years prior.

Some fine memories in that one. Plenty of nostalgia to be had there.

As my title says "Allah's Favorite" and has for years (and some of you know exactly why), Wat seems to bring "believing in Something" into every bloody post he makes. Technically, it would be outside Spoon Rules, yet not one of you has made a comment one way or the other. And I don't bring it up. I feel that this crowd is more than adequately tolerant of invocations made during trying times.

Finding clean food at a supermarket is dang near impossible. About have to grow it oneself or hunt it directly.

I've worked and inspected commercial farms for insurance companies.
I can smell them when I open the door at Kroger, hence, I buy ALL of my meat from a local processor... Miller's treats me like a fukkin f'g Kang!

Last night we worked at the 4-H fair. A lot of fun and saw a lot of people I knew.

Had sausage sandwich for dinner and really good homemade ice cream. It was WOW!

Off to be busy, run errands, mow, lawns, and deliver firewood. Everyone behave.
