Your Lit Name

I'm a huge cliche. Love baseball, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday (because there's fireworks and baseball is on), and there's a truck in my driveway...

Hence my moniker.
I actually agree with you on two of the three, and the 4th is my Second fav holiday, so it's almost all three

You get you
I think you might win.

What kind of party favors do you put out for a sperm bank holiday?
Your favorite porno, with all the good parts cut out...
Pizza boy arrives, sorority girls scream, "Ooooh, pizza!" Cut to sun rising as bedraggled pizza man staggers to his beat-up delivery subcompact.

Absolutely on the fly, with very little thought other than it might signal to potential readers that my tastes run more towards the vanilla than many authors on this site. Actually had one commenter who told me they nearly bailed on one of my stories but only stuck it out because of the username—and they were glad they did. So at least it worked once. 😆

All of us here (or almost all) write under pseudonyms. We have screen names. I'm curious as to how you came up with your screen name. Mine was the name of my favorite horse to ride at summer camp when I was a kid.
@SkyBubble,
Easy, the contraction of a former French girlfriend's surname/s
Respectfully,
D.

@uniquelyvanilla

Hello and welcome, nice to have you with us. 😀
Firstly, let me say that in any story, especially if it be unique, "vanilla" is not a dirty word here. The important thing is that you write the story YOU want to write.

Secondly, if they are unique because they are from personal experience you can make that clear in the introduction to the story or, as I often choose to do, tell your stories from the first person perspective. (i.e. I said, I did, I thought, I saw etc.)

Simply because the content is what you term "vanilla" doesn't mean people won't read (and hopefully) like them. Indeed, you may well be the next (breath of fresh air" around here.

I first came to Lit in 2019 but I only got the courage up to publish my first story this year because I thought to myself, 'I can't possibly compete with some of the stuff I've read so far!'
Wrong - I now have 5 stories published which have been relatively well received (people adding them to their favourites list etc.)

You will find, in the AH (Authors Hangout) a lot of friendly and helpful folks.
Deepest respects,
D.

Thank you for the warm welcome and taking the time to write that out. Oh, I certainly don't write from experience! I've written/write under a different pseudonym (non-erotica) elsewhere. As I venture into erotica, I hope to blend my vivid and imaginative style with erotic imagery. I've never released any erotica before, but I'm curious as a writer where it will take me. And as someone whose been virtually invisible in "mainstream spaces," I am willing to experiment and spread my "tentacles" outwards. My "unique stories" are more in the style of fever dreams where characters bond under traumatic circumstances (perhaps not really aligning with the kind traditionally featured in erotica) where "vanilla sex" also occurs. I'd share more specific examples, but I'd like to leave that until I actually release content. I'm far more into showing than telling!

Wanted a name strictly for writing erotica under to seperate the name I use for everything else. Wanted something not cheesy but sex related, and sounded kinda cool. I had an idea to combine the names of sex, love, procreation patroned gods and goddesses. Made a list of them and figured out which ones sounded good together.

Mine is an alternate way to pronounce my handle on a popular online site, which is not an adult-content site. I could have used the exact same name, but I preferred to make it a bit more challenging for anyone who knows me there, to spot me here.

I came up with mine when I was making one of my female characters. Her name is Valerie Chérie, her name got stuck in my head so I used that and combined it with Sin, because I like a sinful things.
