Speaking of off label usage, a doctor prescribed a 5 mg daily dose of Cialis for me, to treat symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH - non-cancerous enlarged prostate). It did make a difference in the frequent (insufficient) urination, as well as enhanced erections. In fairness, a subsequent specialist prescribed another med that was designed for this purpose. I think it works better, but I miss the effect on my hardons.
Actually, this is very much on-label as it's part of its FDA Approved Indication - 5mg taken daily for signs and symptoms of BPH. I take 5mg daily for this reason as well. Starting dose for ED is 10mg.
