The Official Authors' Hangout Summer Lovin' 2025 Contest Support Thread

If they are not standalones, they should not have been approved as part of the contest... They're not "eligible to win" because they are not eligible for entry.
Truly, I did not submit them to win anything, nor did I expect to. I understand what you said about the series aspect. I could have submitted them as standalones and added to the series later. I wanted to see how my stories fared against a wider audience.

Thank you for your feedback.

I read your story in T/I. My thought is that the incest readers can be fairly hard on a writer when there's more than incest involved. I don't know if that's the case with your story, but Aunt Nikki isn't what many of them come to that category for. Even if you hit all their correct buttons, there will still be some who will be upset if there's no pregnancy involved, or if the incestual couple brings another one into their relationship, or other very specific items they want to see.

They like what they like, and they will tell you if you don't make that happen for them.
thank you for your feedback

Both stories are pretty short by Lit standards.

Also, unless the rules have changed, chapters in longer stories aren't eligible to win a special contest. The don't have chapter numbers in the title, and that might be the only reason Laurel let them into the contest.
Thank you for your feedback. I find that my shorter stories, around 7,500 words, receive more reads.

Thank you! I was a little worried about how people would take the ending, but it seems to have worked.

No plot bunnies this year, but I do have a few rabid rabbits gnawing at their wire cages.

I was having writer's block on another story, so I decided to write about a true experience I fondly remember on a hot, crowded subway many years ago.

It's what I remember actually happening. Any deviation from reality is due to the perverted part of my brain rearranging my long-term memory storage LOL

I asked a fellow Literotica member to proofread it, and he was the one who suggested that I enter it into the contest. Happy timing and coincidence.

No idea who the top three will be, but having requested deletion of all my works, I won't even be in the running.

You know that thread that asks when we "nope out" of a thread? My reply was "when the drama starts," or something like that.

I feel like I've missed some drama here suddenly.

I don’t think it happened here, seems to originate in either of the comments’ threads. But it’s definitely a blink-and-you-miss-it kind of thing, and I’m not certain what it was about myself.

Finally published Ghost in a Jewellery Box, hopefully one of two for the event. I have to smile, within a very short space of publishing any work, the first score is always a 1, and the story didn't disappoint this morning Me thinks I have a "special" follower, honoured to have a fan :)

If you hadn't already read mine, you no longer can.

Shame somebody had to ruin it all for me.

Catch ya'll on the boards.

Out of interest, there are now 79 stories published. Last year there were 139 in total.
I don't think we'll see many more being published over the next week or two, because whoever is still writing theirs thinks they still have time. (But do they...?)
Then, once there's just a few days left before the deadline, we'll probably see an uptick when all those late submissions finally hit the presses.

All in all, I think we'll likely end up with a similar number of submissions total.

The Orgasm Game goes live tomorrow. If we're in a lull for contest submissions, then that could put me alone at the top of the new list. I'd love to see that happen.
