Big Balls

Did you expect a deal?
I think Trump pretty much called it before it ever started. The arms are going to keep flowing and most importantly the intelligence. Waiting to hear on any further sanctions.

Putin came out of the meeting sounding unhinged, and that should bother everyone. The economic situation in Russia is collapsing and any further sanctions will only accelerate that situation. How desperate will Putin become?

A desperate Putin is not something the world needs. Or wants.

I have no idea how anyone could have thought there would have been a "deal" since the US isn't a party to the conflict, just a mediator/negotiator. If the principles don't want to make a deal, there's nothing an intermediary can do except keep trying to make them see the light.

Right now Putin has the upper hand, though some don't think so, and Ukraine is being stubborn. Faced with that, Trump has some persuading to do (with the principles AND the rest of the world) and that takes time.

Yeah, that's what bother me, a desperate Putin and a desperate Xi. Both of them are in trouble. If the rumors are true Xi is being moved aside, there is no counter-balance to Putin.

Putin has sacrificed Russia's future on this misguided venture. Russia already had a demographic problem, a BIG demographic problem and here he is killing off the young men that would be the future producers of wealth AND children. It's actually irrational from any perspective but he is stuck spouting how Russia was during the reign of Catherine the Great. It's a paranoia that is grounded in the Napoleonic wars. He appears to be willing to destroy his own nation to save his pride.

Here we are again. "I hate Trump so I'll root for more senseless killing." Right up there with, "I hate Trump so I want to see more crime on the streets."

I'm thinking that by next summer their heads will explode and the violence on the streets of the blue cities will reach epic proportions.

Fox News reporter brutally reviews Trump-Putin summit; says Kremlin boss ‘came in and steamrolled’ POTUS

lol shut the fuck up, ish. we're laughing at you and tiny hands - it has nothing to do with the actual war. we never believed him and you swallowed it whole and for you to play like you're appalled at more fighting and deaths is laughable.

if your busted tired ass makes it to the next election do us all a favor and vote for the usa.

Obviously not desperate enough to make a deal at this recent meeting.

You really don't know anything about the Left do you? Nobody is rooting for more killing. Whether or not this killing is any more senseless than any other is very subjective. I'm a strong supporter and no amount of dead Russians is senseless until they retreat from the battlefield and surrender the captured land. I'll 100% back straight up "terrorist" actions making the land completely useless because you can never be sure when a bridge or building might blow up or a sniper might just be having himself a good day. Fuck invaders.

I would be perfectly happy if it ended today. If Trump had walked out of their head held high with a peace deal I, and 99% of libs would happily have praised him. We don't work that way. That's why we're so hyped about Newsome right now is because its really, really hard to keep losing and knowing at least part of it is because you play by the rules and respect traditions and decorum. It still wouldn't get in the way of our praise here for a single second.

There will be the usual summer spike of crime. You and yours will be able to tell us the exact coordinates of every shooting in Chicago when they have a head wave or something but the odds of violence and crime exploding next year are relatively low. If they DO get out of hand however that will be on Trump. WE know what drives crime and its piss poor economies. So if inflation and unemployment are up we can expect crime to increase especially if its coupled with cutting social services. It wouldn't be to "epic proportions" whatever the fuck that means in real terms. Are we talking a return to the 80s where nobody questioned that crime was so bad that an officer dying on the job was no excuse for him not showing up for work?

Or are we going to say something like "Well crime is higher than it was prepandemic" which seems to be the current benchmark.

Brilliant! Whatever one thinks of Trump, his ability to throw people off balance, make them uncomfortable, and make them look small is undeniable. Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris are among the many who have learned this the hard way.
But he doesn't do that to people he wants to like him. Like Putin.

Trump is the counterbalance.

Putin was being pushed into a corner. His country was under severe sanctions and was hurting. When Zelensky was elected and began spouting anti-Russian intentions, he was pushed even more. Faced with his Berlin Wall moment, and the world not having a strong US President, he did the worst thing he could have done; he invaded his neighbor on a pretext. That he could do it only caps the fact that he'd already done it and the weakling that Obama showed us he was couldn't prevent the Crimea invasion.

Trump is correct, had he been President this likely wouldn't have happened. It wouldn't have happened because the world would have had a strong President to counterbalance Putin's actions and act as a deterrence. Putin would have been forced to stop his international political machinations and "tear down that wall" just as Gorbachev was forced to do. Putin, not being as smart as Gorbachev, couldn't see the prosperity that followed. He still can't because he's a thug who was raised in a culture which believes that using force is the only way to get people to do what you want them to do.

Xi is from the same mold with more greed, less intelligence, and a cadre of incompetent political toadies to use to try and get things done. And he's in a position where a guillotine is the award for failure. China is a threat only because we've given it the keys to our garage. Without the ability to control us through our economy, China's only remaining strength is a very inept military and size of it's armies. Not a minor threat, but not the invincible mighty military machine everyone makes it out to be.

Using Putin as a fact check is something dear leader approves.

Well done

When Putin sees facts, he assassinates them.

Needs a double dose of Ativan.

Do drugs help you stop being a racist?

I wonder if it's all those black daddies living by the 4 fs ( find them, feel them, fuck them, forget them ).

blacks have a higher propensity of violence than all races combined.

I find that African Americans are more racist than white folks...I wouldn’t even think of walking a predominately black neighborhood, wouldn’t end well.

LOL! Trump has been POTUS for months and promised to end the war before the end of 2024. So if Trump can’t end the war now, exactly what would he have done if he was POTUS when the war started?
